Research On Spectacle Film

Since the 1970 s,American Hollywood blockbusters,which are represented by science fiction films,magic films,superhero films,and animated films,with strong visual appeal and extraordinary fantasy stories,have become the most attractive film in the world.It has been occupying the center of the screen world for 40 years.As a result,the concept of "Spectacle Film" was proposed.From the perspective of film studies,this thesis research the film spectacles and the expression of spectacle film as a film form in different film genres ? At the same time,it also explores the direct causes and deep background of the spectacle film and its its realistic influence,and supplements the viewpoints of film history,film theory and film industry for the study of spectacle film.This thesis believes that the spectacle film is a film form born in the Hollywood film industry system,emphasizing the "spectacle" of the film.It is the result of contemporary evolution of the "Classic Hollywood" film form.The spectacle film is not the opposite of the classic Hollywood film.The narrative tradition connects them,and the innovation of image expression makes the spectacle film show its advantages:it not only enhances the direct attraction of the image,but also strengthens the narrative.The introduction part combs the research status of the spectacle film and explains the research direction and significance of this thesis.The first chapter defines the concept of spectacle film through the interpretation of spectacle and formalism film theory,and reviews the development process of the spectacle movie and its type expression.The second chapter analyzes the causes of the spectacle film from the perspectives of psychology,social culture,film industry and technology.The third chapter analyzes the form attraction and content attraction of the spectacle film.The fourth chapter focuses on the changes in narrative and aesthetics of contemporary films under the influence of spectacle films.
