Diet has always plays a vital role in human life.As the special traditional culture in China,diet is of great significance in culture development.Xinjiang,located in the intersection of the ancient Silk Road,it is the central place of various ethnic origins.Since ancient times,a lot of different cultures have been developing and intersecting in Xinjiang,and thus forming a unique cultural system.After the in-depth analysis of the dietary habits and dietary characteristics of Han ethnic and Uygur ethnic,this thesis will be divided into five parts,namely,the introduction,the difference of the cultural characteristics of the Han and Uygur diet,the impact of the language,Han Uygur diet culture translation analysis,and finally comes to the conclusion.For introduction,this paper has outlined the literature review,topic selection,research significance and innovative opinions.With the help from several thesis and reference,this paper has summarized the Han food culture,Uighur food culture,cultural translation and other aspects of the integration.In the second part,the cultural characteristics of Han and Uygur were introduced from three aspects: the characteristics of natural environment,the characteristics of religious etiquette,and the traditional philosophical characteristics.Afterwards,this paper has made a comparative analysis from the differences of religious philosophy,dietary structural differences,and the difference of cuisine.In the third part,this paper has illustrated the influence of Han-Uygur’s food culture on language.First of all,this paper explains the influence of food culture from four aspects: words,vocabulary,semantics and pragmatics.Second of all,based on vocabulary,semantics and pragmatics,this paper has summarized the influence of Uygur language culture.Based on the dietary and cultural differences of the Han-Uygur ethnics,this paper has analyzed and summarized a sequence of analysis in views of cultural borrowing,cultural substitution and cultural transplantation according to translation strategies of domestication and alienation.In conclusion,this paper firstly analyzes and narrates the characteristics of the diet culture of the Han and Uygur ethnics.Secondly,it analyzes the differences in the dietary culture of the Han and Uygur from the aspects of religious philosophy,dietary structure and cuisine methods.In addition,in terms of commonly used idioms,proverbs,idioms and other language phenomenon,this paper has illustrated the difference of two languages,followed by the Han and Uygur food culture on the language of the study and analysis;Finally,this paper has utilized translation methods and translation strategies to discuss the Han-Uygur diet cultural characteristics.The article aims to summarize the various phenomena which influence the language culture of Han-Uygur ’s food culture,so as to provide more specific examples for Han-Uygur s translation research and education,and make a contribution to the construction of Xinjiang ’s harmony.
