A Comparative Study On The Lyrics Of Uyghur And Uzbek Original Songs

Uyghurs and Uzbeks have a lot in common among Turkic people in terms of culture,literature and art.In contemporary Uyghur and Uzbek literature,especially,in poetry there exists some ind ividual characteristics which are derived from a huge common ground.We can see the unique characteristics in the lyrics of original songs of Uyghurs and Uzbeks in the last half century,and the features of contemporary Uyghur and Uzbek poetry are reflected on the lyrics of these songs.In my research,I chose the lyrics of original songs in order to analyze the lyrics in poetic point of view,also to overcome some difficulties in specific examp les.This paper is comprised of six chapters: in chapter one,an introduction to lyrics and features of lyrics will be discussed;in chapter two the characteristics of the lyrics of original Uyghur and Uzbek songs will be analyzed in terms of poetic language and structure,also the most common structures in Uzbek lyrics will be put forward.In chapter three,the status of folk songs and classic poems used for original Uyghur and Uzbek songs will be studied,In chapter four,also the Uzbek poems used for Uyghur original songs.In the last chapter,the Uygur songs adapted from popular Uzbek songs will be introduced and the reasons of being popular in Uyghur society will be discussed.This paper mainly discusses the contents of four chapters,and puts forward some concrete Suggestions.Lyrics can reflect one ethnic group's poetic tradition and characteristics.Study on the lyrics of original songs is important for bo th literary and musical research,a must-do study.In this paper,Uyghur,Uzbek lyrics in combination with classic and contemporary poetry will be mainly dealt with,and some characteristics of Uzbek lyrics will be put forth.
