This paper aims to explore the actual situation of the employment pressure of college students, and to clarify the relationship between self-concept,in order to provide new ideas and methods to alleviate the employment pressure of college students. This research used the questionnaires.Chinese scholars,Chen Yuhong compiled "College Students' employment pressure questionnaire" and Fitts in 1965 compiled and Chinese scholar Lin Bangjie revised third version of "self-concept scale".This researcher added self-designed demographic questionnaire to them using as the research tools and randomly selected junior college graduates, undergraduates, postgraduates in 700 for study and investigation from Sichuan Province.Survey results show:(1)The majority of College Students' employment pressure medium to high level. The employment pressure is not significant difference between male and female(P>0.05);the employment pressure of junior college students score significantly higher than the undergraduates and postgraduates(P<0.05);the employment pressure of students of single parent families is significantly higher than that of parents families(P<0.001);the employment pressure difference between students of different family economic status is not significant(P>0.05);the difference of employment pressure between students owning different practice experience is very significant(P<0.001),the employment pressure of college students lacking practical experience was significantly higher than that of medium and rich practical experience(P<0.001);whether the one-child differences in college students' employment pressure is not significant(P>0.05);whether the student cadre in college students' employment pressure has significant difference(P<0.05),nonstudent cadre employment pressure is significantly higher than that of the student cadres.(2)College students' self-concept level is high, which indicates that college graduates have established more complete and positive self-concept.The male and female differences in self-concept is not obvious(P>0.05);in the academic stage, the level of self-concept of junior college students is significantly lower than that of undergraduates and postgraduates(P<0.001);self-concept of single parent families is significantly lower than that of parents families(P<0.001).(3)Self-concept of college students and the employment pressure has a significant negative correlation(P<0.01),indicating the close relationship between the two, significant regression equation and self-concept of College Students Constitution, showthat it has certain prediction on the employment pressure. This study supports the cognitive evaluation theory of Lazarus, namely the individual cognitive experience of the employment pressure has a strong influence, and highly positive cognitive evaluation can weaken the pressure of employment experience and low and negative cognitive evaluation can enhance the pressure of employment experience. In the dimensions of self-concept,social self, psychological self, family self, physical self and self-identity five factors to explain the employment pressure of 34%.Therefore,the college workers should change the cognitive concept of the college students and enhance students' sense of self value;they must guide students to establish a more perfect positive self-concept and then distinguish between different groups of students' employment pressure, helping to have more achievements.
