Xinjiang is the bridge of the mainland contact with central Asian countries,geographical advantages and the growing of trade raised a hot wave of central Asian countries people to learn Chinese.Due to the native language background of the learner individual differences exist and there are many international students first come to China to learn Chinese,how to help them as soon as possible to adapt to the native language learning environment,it is necessary to understand their learning needs.This paper bases on the Witkin's independence and dependence theory of cognitive styles and Waters' s learning needs theory,through the questionnaire survey method,interview method and literature reading method to analyze the two cognitive styles of central Asian students learning needs.Using the curriculum,teachers' teaching and learning environment as a main line,to distinguish the different cognitive style learners demand differences that may exist in Chinese study.Curriculum provision include the arrangement of the course,the selection of the textbook,the class arrangement and the way of the final exam.Teachers' teaching include macroscopic teaching methods,common teaching methods and the micro teaching skills.Learning environment include learning resources,classroom facilities and accommodations and so on.Finally,according to the result of effective questionnaire analysis,respectively from the aspect of the learners themselves,teachers and schools,find out the corresponding countermeasure and give related advice.
