In recent years,more and more researchers have begun to focus on the study of learners,such as learning strategies,learning beliefs and learning motivations.Among these studies,the study of learning beliefs has attracted the attention of many domestic and foreign scholars in the past few years.Therefore,based on the results of previous studies,this study will investigate students from the Central Asian and Dungan nationalities of Northwest Normal University to investigate their beliefs in Chinese learning.This research is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction of this study,including the origin of the research topic,the purpose and significance of the research,as well as the research review,which explained the definition,classification and related research on Learning Beliefs at Home and AbroadThe second chapter is the design and implementation of the research plan.First,the theoretical basis of designing the research plan is explained,and then the research content and object of the research,as well as the research tools and research methods used in the research process.The third part chapter including the data collection of the questionnaire and the information collection of the interview content.This research mainly uses SPSS25.0data statistical analysis software to make statistics,sort and analyze the data of the survey results.The last chapter is a summary.It mainly summarizes the main findings of this research,and puts forward some reference suggestions for the teaching of Chinese to foreign students from the Central Asian Dungan nationality.This research believes that teachers should adopt scientific teaching methods to help students establish positive beliefs in Chinese learning,and avoid foreign students from forming false beliefs in Chinese learning.According to the characteristics of different Chinese students’ beliefs in Chinese learning,teachers must teach students according to their aptitude to obtain Better teaching results.Finally,the limitations of this study are analyzed.The research results show that most of the students of Dungan ethnic group inCentral Asia think that language talent exists and think that they have this talent.They think that learning Chinese is difficult but they are more confident in learning it.Most students from the Dungan ethnic group in Central Asia recognize the importance of cultural background and language environment.The vast majority of students of the Dungan ethnic group in Central Asia are aware of the importance of repeating a lot of practice,and translation is still a mainstream learning method among international students.Some foreign students will have the mentality of not speaking with Chinese speakers because they are afraid of making mistakes,but most of the international students will still actively communicate with Chinese speakers to practice Chinese.Most of the students of the Dungan ethnic group in Central Asia think that learning Chinese well will help them find a job in the future,and there are more opportunities to use Chinese in the future.There is a correlation between the Chinese achievement of Dungan students from Central Asia and the motivation and expectations of learning Chinese,the essential characteristics of Chinese learning,the ability of Chinese learning,the learning of Chinese and communication strategies,and it is positively correlated.There are no significant gender differences in beliefs about Chinese learning among students from Central Asia.
