Books Design Research During The Anti-Japanese War

On July 7,1937,the Japanese invaders launched the full-scale war in China,which made our country's book publishing suffer a heavy blow.The book publishing was difficult because of the disappearance of excellent books and the lack of materials.However,at that time many progressives realized the importance of the book design to the Anti-Japanese War propaganda.So they wrote a lot of progressive books adhering to the idea of salvation,to a certain extent,which stimulated the development of book design.The cover design and the format design of the books deeply marked with the brand of this time,and the book design became a beautiful landscape of this era,the font design.With the deepening of the national crisis,the book design began to focus on the theory of the Anti-Japanese and National Salvation.However,the book publishing,acting as the Anti Japanese propaganda front,suffered from the containment of reactionary forces,and culture publishing industry suffered a serious blow.Due to the support of revolutionary forces,book design has never stopped.The book design gradually developed,but it was still in a state of recovery.As the reflection of the politics and history in modern China history,it plays an important part in modern history.In terns of politics,it promotes the spread of policies and strategies.In terms of ideology,it promotes the emergence of advanced thoughts.In terms of technology,it promotes the learning from western advanced artifacts.In terms of form,it inherits and develops the book design in the Republic of China era.Under the background of the thorough investigation to the book design in the anti-Japanese period,and on the basis of style of book design during the war of resistance against Japan,this thesis analyzes the influence of the book design in the period of the Anti Japanese war to the modern book design.This thesis also will analyze the graphic,text,layout,color and other elements in book design,which is of great significance to the book design returning to the people's vision.
