Strategies Of The E-C Simultaneous Interpretation Of The Q&A Session In International Conference

With the increasing need of participating in the globalization,the simultaneous interpretation of international conferences has become an important way to know international environment and fully participate in the development of globalization for China.In general,there will be Q&A session in a conference for further discussion about its theme.And because of the special form and speech features in Q&A session,its simultaneous interpretation brings lots of challenges for interpreters.However,the research on it is still limited and needs more attention.The interpretive theory advocates to express the content that is understood in a way which is consistent with the manner of target language.It emphasizes the equivalence of content,emotion,expression effect between source language and target language.It also appreciates cognitive complement.The connotation of it can highly guide English-Chinese interpretation in Q&A session and can effectively solve many problems in Q&A session.Therefore,guided by this theory,in order to study the interpretation skills and difficulties in Q&A session to effectively help interpretation learners,this paper selects live simultaneous interpretation of two IMF conferences in 2012 and 2015,and summarizes four interpretation strategies including explicitation of connotative meaning and logical relation,deletion and induction,dealing with repairs,and expressing meaning and emotion.
