Jinhua Suoyuan "Homestay In Historical Chinese Villages" Project And The Protection Of Traditional Village Folk Culture

Traditional villages show a long history of folk culture,and contain a profound cultural connotation.With the acceleration of modernization process,folk culture of many traditional villages was abandoned,a large number of outstanding folk cultural heritage in decline,so the protection and inheritance is urgently needed.Jinhua plans to maintain the original style and features of its cultural relics,and try to develop the traditional villages for travel and ecotourism.In addition to let local Chinese people understand,through the international field of vision to spread and exchange ancient village culture is also an effective way to protect and develop traditional villages in the present.We can seek foreigners’ creative ideas on how to promote the project.It is not difficult to find in the world that many foreigners are very interested in traditional Chinese villages and are curious about the traditional folk culture.Although the current government advocate to tell good stories of China,through the language and voice to spread Chinese culture to foreign friends,because of differences in thinking,there are still cultural differences and barriers in the process.That can not makeforeign friends really understand the true meaning of traditional Chinese culture.Using the way of outbound study tour,such as "Jinhua Homestay" project can attract foreign friends to go to the traditional village,personally participate in the daily life of the ancient village,feeling the village culture and scenery,and then go back to their own countries to tell their families and friends what they experience in China historical villages.The first phase of "Jinhua Homestay" project had officially launched in 22 June-12 July 2015 in Suoyuan village,Jinhua,Zhejiang.Suoyuan Village has unique geographical environment,a large number of Ming and Qing buildings and a long history of non-material cultural heritage.With the development of activities,Suoyuan Village quickly had attracted more and more attention at home and abroad.The protection of traditional village folk culture in Suoyuan village is different from other villages,because Suoyuan village combine with outbound study tour."Jinhua Homestay" project invite students from abroad to live in the traditional village,experiencing the local folk customs.In the project,the foreign participants can visit historic buildings,experience folklore activities in the village.Participants can choose between making tofu,making straw sandals,making new-year-cake,paper-cutting,calligraphy,folk rap,making Chinese-style popcorn,a sugar-art performance,and printing using traditional carved wooden blocks,experiencing these activities in day of Folk Customs.In addition to this,the "Jinhua Homestay" project will also include look around other traditional villages and places in Jinhua city.And foreign participants also need to give feed-back and creative ideas on the project.The participants will be divided into five groups(7-9 persons per group)in order to work on the tasks as a team.Each group chooses a secretary and they need to spend some time working on tasks.Each group gives a presentation on members’ experiences via written materials,videos,pictures,or other means.The protection of traditional village folk culture has always been a hot topic in today’s social studies,and the way of protection has been in the new stage of exploration.This paper analysis the effect and influence of the "Jinhua Homestay"project on the protection of folk culture by taking the Suoyuan Village in Jinhua City of Zhejiang Province as an example,exploring whether the combination of the"Jinhua Homestay" project and Suoyuan Village has played main role on the village’s folk culture protection.The origin of this project is related to local government participation and promotion.It is not common for combining the outbound study tour with the protection of folk culture.Therefore,it is worthwhile to study the actual effect,influence and problems of the "Suoyuan phenomenon",exploring the value of reference and sustainable development in the future.This article through the perspective of folklore,Intangible cultural heritage,combining with tourism,sociology and anthropology,to analysis the relation between outbound study tour and the village folk culture protection.In this way,explore the new methods of folk cultural protection,inheritance,regeneration,and spreading.This paper is divided into six parts to discuss the issues.The first part explains the background and significance of the topic,and Illustrates research status at home and abroad and the research methods.The second part mainly explains the social background of the folk culture of Suoyuan Village,and discusses the two aspects of the natural ecological environment and humanistic historical environment of Suoyuan Village.It analysis the value and resources of Suoyuan Village as a traditional historical and cultural village.Then the third part mainly explains the origin and development of the "Jinhua Homestay" project,introducing from the project origin and introduction,the project features two aspects.First of all,introduces the background of the "Jinhua Homestay" project,to observe the original relation between the produce of the international studies program and the protection of traditional village folk culture.Based on the background of Jinhua would like to apply for the permanent site of the World Ancient Village Protection Conference,the international research project can be produced,passed and carried out,hoping to make good Jinhua stories by overseas students.Under such demands,the second section discusses the characteristics of the research project,through analyzing the way of presenting,to explore the aspect of folk culture protection in the project.The fourth part mainly narrates the relation between research project and the village folk culture protection,to concrete analysis the project has carried out some measures to protect the folk culture in the process of project,further exploring the actual function of research project on the village folk culture protection from three viewpoints,the ancient buildings,Intangible cultural heritage and villagers of three angles.The fifth part explains the evaluation and thinking of folk culture protection by Suoyuan research project.It mainly analysis whether the project can play an efficient role in the protection of folk culture,and whether it has caused some influence in the protection.Analysis the aspects of improvement to enhance the value of reference and sustainable development in the future.The sixth part is the summary of the article.
