| As the very first opening of interpersonal communication,greetings play an important role in every type of language.The choice and implementation of greeting speech acts affect the expression of attitude of both sides in communication.Appropriate greeting speech acts can help us to successfully establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships;otherwise we will make the communication atmosphere embarrassing and bring unnecessary trouble and obstacles to interpersonal communication.With the increasing popularity of ‘Chinese fever’in South Korea,the demand for teaching South Korean students Chinese has increased year by year.Greetings,as the starting point of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,often has been overlooked because of the simplicity of the content.But for Chinese learners,actually greeting speech act is the most difficult step to overcome.They not only need to learn the language forms of greetings,but also accurately understand the cultural connotations and pragmatic rulesAbove all,for South Korean students whose mother tongue(i.e.Korean)and target language(i.e.Chinese)originated from the same culture,they are more likely to make mistakes without noticing in implementing greeting speech acts.Therefore,it is of great guiding significance to study the greetings teaching in teaching Chinese to South Korean students.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part clarifies the research object of this article,explains the reasons of topic selection from the aspect of "Chinese fever" in South Korea,the importance of greetings in social communication and the author’s own teaching experience,and summarizes the relevant research status.The second part,starting from the ontology of the Chinese greetings,defines the greeting speech acts.On the basis of the predecessors’ theoretical achievements,this paper summarizes four characteristics of Chinese greetings: simpleness,diversity,objectivity and contemporaneity,and elaborates on respective feature afterwards.The third part analyzes the differences of the greeting speech act between China and South Korea from the perspective of comparative linguistics,and explores deeply the cultural reason of greeting differences through analyzing the cultural backgrounds of Chinese and Korean.Although the two countries both belong to the Confucian cultural circle,their heritages of Confucianism have achieved their distinct characteristics in the way of development.South Korea’s hierarchical concept is more stringent and collective consciousness is more obvious.The fourth part concentrates on the South Korean students’ acquisition of Chinese greetings through the way of questionnaire.It also summarizes the main types of errors and the errors.According to the result of error analysis from the previous part,the fifth part proceeds to put forward some specific suggestions on how to teach the greeting speech acts of Chinese to Korean students,combined with the author’s own teaching experience. |
