| The Korean students are always confused in their learning Chinese "Separable Verb"for they don’t know when to combine and when to separate because there is nocorresponding separable element in Korean. Thus, the "Separable Verb" in Chinese isalways a big problem that bewilders Korean students and it is also one of the majordifficulties that are universally recognized by the experts in teaching Chinese as a ForeignLanguage. It is of great significance to find out the cause of errors made by Koreanstudents and put forward corresponding countermeasures.In order to improve teaching effect and be helpful to the Korean student’s in theirmastering separable verb, this dissertation, based on the comparison of characters andsome verbs in both Korean and Chinese, taking145Korean students as testing objects andModern Chinese Dictionary (5th Edition), Chinese-Korean Dictionary ofNATE/NAVER/DAUM on-line dictionary, Korean National Dictionary, Chinese CharacterDictionary, Chinese Course and Climbing Up-Intermediate Chinese Course published byBeijing Language University Press (Textbook) as language materials, with quantitative,qualitative and comparative analysis methods, gives the Korean students a test to see theircompetence of mastering the separable verb. The test shows that the errors of extensionform of separable verbs mainly include: object error, complement error, attribute error,inversion error and etc. The causes can be categorized as negative transfer of mothertongue, overgeneralization of target language and insufficiency of teaching aids. Thus, theauthor puts forward some teaching tactics, namely comparison, language block, contextand etc.; raises suggestion in editing textbook, dictionary, tutorial exercise books and etc.;and meanwhile advises the learners to mark the extension competence of every separableverb by jointly using such teaching countermeasures as cognitive tactics, mother-tonguetactics that using mother tongue in assisting learning, and formal tactics. |
