With the rapid development of the Chinese economy, the door to China is increasingly opening to the outside world.China continues to play a more significant role on the international stage, which has resulted in many foreign business people starting to pay close attention to the Chinese market. Many conduct business in China, investing and introducing foreign products into the Chinese market. As a result of this trend, the demand for learning Chinese for business purposes has increased dramatically.Chinese and Italian economic and trading exchange is gradually expanding andincreasing, and the Chinese market continues to attract Italian business interests. This,in turn promotes the learning of Chinese for specific business purposes. As a response to this demand,Italy's eleven Confucius Institutes, universities and private schools have started to deliver business Chinese classes. The composition of quality business-Chinese teaching materials for Italian students is thus essential.Nowadays, there are only three business Chinese textbooks in Italian:"Speak Chinese,Do Business","Business in China" and "Business Chinese".According to the survey results,"Speak Chinese,Do Business" has very strong practical use for students in Italy. The investigation demographic sampled is 30 students from a business Chinese course at the Rome University Confucius Institute. Results of the survey indicate that student feedback shows a higher satisfaction-rate relating to this textbook.Professors Zhai Ran and Li Ying wrote "Business in China".Zhai Ran is a teacher of Chinese teachers in Foreign Language Department of the University of Bologna in Italy, professor Li Ying is the Chinese teacher at Perugia University Foreign Language Training Center. Both teachers speak proficient Italian,so they wrote these books in Italian accordingly, with Italian translations of key text words and grammar for students studying in Italy. These textbooks are especially convenient for those who have not reached a proficient or high level of Chinese. The content of "Business Chinese" is not as rich as the first two textbooks. However, the textbook's author Wang Dongdong invented a new method for teaching Italian students how to learn Chinese characters, which is very helpful for these learners. The purpose of this thesis is to summarize the most significant and helpful cultural content for Italian students of business Chinese,to demonstrate the advantages of using local business Chinese textbooks and the inspiration that Italian local business Chinese books can give to business Chinese textbooks authors. This will be achieved through the introduction of three Italian textbooks of business Chinese, the comparison between Italian and Chinese culture and the analysis of the results of the survey. The author hopes that this-thesis may provide some insights regarding the future compilation of cultural contents of business Chinese books.
