Objective:To explore the characteristics of college students' work values and the relationship between personality traits,social support and work values,and to examine the regulation effect of social support to the relationship between personality traits and work values.Methods: A total of 850 questionnaires were distributed by the "Big Five Personality Questionnaire","Social Support Rating Scale" and "Work Value Scale".The number of valid questionnaires was 678,the effective rate is 79.76%.Results:1.There are significant differences ? in demographic variables of work valus.Girls in the external value score was significantly higher than boys.Township students in the external value score was significantly higher than the city college students.Non-only-child college students were significantly higher in family and life scores than those of only-child college students.The monthly consumption level is not statistically significant in the occupational values.2.Social support is related to the work values.Objective social support has a significant positive correlation with intrinsic value and external value.Subjective social support has a significant positivecorrelation with intrinsic value,social status,external values,family and life.There is a significant positive correlation between the utilization of social support and the intrinsic value,external value,family and life.3.Social support regulates the relationship between personality traits and work values,which can be embodied in:(1)The regulation effect of objective social support:a.Objective social support regulates the relationship between neuroticism and little stress.b.Objective social support regulates the relationship between neuroticism and social status.c.Objective social support regulates the relationship between neuroticism and external values.(2)The regulation effect of subjective social support.Subjective social support regulates the relationship between openness and intrinsic value.(3)The regulation effect of the use of social support.The use of social support regulates the relationship between openness and family and life.Conclusion:(1)Gender,urban and rural residence,the number of child have impact on the formation of work values of college students.Female college students pay more attentionto the external value than the male college students.Township students compared to urban college students pay more attention to external values.The non-only children college students pay more attention to the family and the life than the one-child college students.(2)Social support has an impact on work values.Among them,objective social support influences intrinsic value and external value,subjective social support affects intrinsic value,social status,external value,family and life,and the use of social support affect intrinsic value,external value,family and life.(3)The use of social support regulates the relationship of personality to work values.Among them,objective social support enhances the predictive effect of neuroticism on small stress,social status and external value.Subjective social support diminishes the predictive effect of openness on intrinsic value.The use of social support diminishes the predictive effect of openness on family and life.
