The degree of work involvement of tour guides is the top priority in the whole tourism activities.It will not only affect the service quality of tour guides and have a negative impact on the future development of tour guides,but also cause irreparable losses to tourists.Many researchers have found that personality is a potential factor affecting job engagement,but few have explored the internal mechanism of job engagement.Therefore,this paper takes tour guides as the research object,and with the support of previous research results and relevant theories,deeply discusses the predictive effect of various factors of personality traits on job engagement of tour guides,the mediating variables of self-efficacy between personality traits and job engagement,and the moderating effect of perceived organizational support on mediating variables.In this study,810 travel agencies work in Tibet line tour guides as the research object,using the current academia,and widely used in the practice of the big five personality scale,job involvement scale,guide self-efficacy scale and perceived organizational support scale,through the questionnaire form,using SPSS21.0 software descriptive factor analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis.The results showed that:(1)personality traits(extroversion,agreeableness,conscientiousness,and openness)were positively correlated with job involvement of tour guides.(2)the self-efficacy of tour guides mediates between personality traits(agreeableness,conscientiousness,openness)and job involvement.(3)the sense of organizational support moderates the relationship between conscientiousness and self-efficacy in personality traits,and the higher the sense of organizational support,the stronger the positive relationship between them.On the basis of the above conclusions,this study discusses in order to enrich relevant theories and provide psychological support and Suggestions for improving the work investment of tour guides based on the current development status of China's tourism industry.
