The Research On Phags-pa Script Font

This paper summarizes the past Phags-pa script literature and its research results,and constructs a comprehensive and systematic database of Phags-pa script fonts.The database includes the Phags-pa script font’s database,the Phags-pa script literature database,and the Phags-pa script literature research database.Based on the research works of the Phags-pa script literature,the traditional linguistic theory and methods are used to study the font structure and writing characteristics of the wedge character,seal character and Tibetan character of the Phags-pa script,and the creation time of the seal character and Tibetan character is further explored.This paper is composed of five parts,including the introduction,the first chapter of "Phags-pa script font structure",the second chapter of "the wedge character,seal character and Tibetan character of the Phags-pa script and its writing characteristics",the third chapter of "the construction of the Phags-pa script fonts database",and the conclusion.The preface expounds the expositions and research results of both the ancient and modern experts and scholars on the wedge character,seal character and Tibetan character of the Phags-pa script,and explain the research method,research reason and research significance.The first chapter mainly elaborates the origin and the font structure of the Phags-pa script,and explains the letter transliteration of the Phags-pa script.The second chapter mainly studies the writing characteristics of the wedge character,seal character and Tibetan character of the Phags-pa script.The third chapter elaborates the process of the construction of the Phags-pa script font’s database,the Phags-pa script literature database,the Phags-pa script literature research database,and the solution method of its technical problems.
