| With the acceleration of globalization, there has been constant communication between different cultures. Thus, as an important means of cross-cultural communication, interpreting has gained more and more attention. Based on the Interpretive Theory and the interpretation practice of International Sculpture Exhibition in Fuzhou, this thesis is aimed at analyzing the interpreters’ subjectivity. As an essential theory of interpretation, Interpretive Theory focuses on the meaning rather than the language itself During the interpretation, only when the interpreters attach importance to the meaning of the source language can they form the main idea in the deverbalization phase. The interpreters’ subjectivity is significant in the interpreting activity. This thesis clarifies interpreters’ subjectivity from the perspective of Interpretive Theory, aiming at improving interpreters’ consciousness of subjectivity so as to make sure that the interpreting activity go on wheels. |
