The art education of the Art Institute of Henan University has the longest history and the most fruitful achievement in the higher art education of Henan province.Change since twentieth Century,the development process is special and typical.In the development of higher art education in Henan,it has the unique characteristics of benchmarking.This paper is a research on the development of fine arts education in the Art College of Henan University and will be divided into four historical periods the:the predecessor of the evolution of change?the development after incorporated into the Kaifeng Teachers College?the changes after independence?the reform after the establishment of the Academy of Arts.The early stage of the fine arts education in Henan University is a single normal teaching.By the time of the times and the special nature of the social system,it implement the "five year consistent system" and promote the "double system" teaching concept,the purpose is to cultivate the teachers of art and music courses at the same time.Since the reform and opening-up to the middle of eighty's,with the development of national education,Henan University of fine arts independent for the Department of Fine Arts.The educational system and curriculum standards and establishing the idea of "attaching importance to creation and practice".The Department of Fine Artspay attention to the scientific nature of teaching and to carry forward the excellent tradition.Accompanied by changes in the nature of the school,the cultivation of art education aims at the same time to train the fine arts teachers and the art talents of the comprehensive art talent training mode.In this period,the art education advocated writing and teaching,significant development achievements in various professional direction.This period is the most stable development course of the golden period.Under the new situation of economic globalization and cultural diversification,the school of art,Henan University established in 1993,art teaching also presents a new change.In this period,the Arts and crafts developted to the Department of Arts and crafts(after changed to Art and Design Department).Photography and sculpture have also been established.Henan University Art Institute of fine arts disciplines and professional setting gradually complete.And the formation of a special present,master,Hakata level stereo art education model structure.Art Teaching in the art institute faces the development of comprehensive and open.Adhere to the "equal skill" and "theory and practice,knowledge and creation" teaching philosophy.Training comprehensive quality of "compound" art talents.After sixty years of development,although there are limitations and contradictions in the development of art education in the Art Institute of Henan University,but also formed a "attention to tradition and foundation" teaching characteristics and "rigorous,realistic,steady" school style.It has made great contribution to the art industry in Henan province and even in the whole country.
