Objective: By studying difference in effect of treatment that patients who suffered from benign prostate hyperplasia with overactive bladder started to use solifenacin from the first day after TUPKP or did not use it after operation, finds out an effective, safe and convenient treatment method to guide the clinical treatment effectively, which could be better in controlling patients' condition, improving quality of patient's daily life and reducing patient's suffering.Materials and Methods: A total of 95 patients who treated by TUPKP after diagnosing as benign prostate hyperplasia with overactive bladder by doctors in Urology Department at Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital from June 2016 to October 2017 were enrolled in this study.Among them,53 cases who were not treated with solifenacin after TUPKP are in group A,and the other 42 cases who were treated with solifenacin from the first day after surgery are in group B.To analyze and study difference of International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),Quality of Life Score(QOL)and Overactive Bladder Symptom Score(OABSS)before and after 1 month of treatment in group A and group B,and to analyze the data by statistical analysis, then we draw conclusions. Results: There was no significant difference in age, course of disease, preoperative prostate volume, preoperative Qmax, preoperative PVR,preoperative IPSS score, preoperative QOL score, preoperative OABSS score and intraoperative operative time between the group which was not treated with solifenacin and the group which was taken solifenacin(P>0.05).The IPSS score,QOL score and OABSS score of the two groups after operation were all less than those of the preoperative data, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference value of IPSS score,QOL score and OABSS score before operation and 1 month after TUPKP in benign prostate hyperplasia with overactive bladder patients who started to take 5mg of solifenacin every day before bedtime was higher than that of patients who did not use solifenacin after operation, and difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: For benign prostatic hyperplasia with overactive bladder patients whose lower urinary tract symptoms and quality of life satisfaction all improved after TUPKP compared with preoperative, taking solifenacin 5mg before bedtime from the first day after surgery and insist on it for a month can further promote recovery of symptoms and improve the quality of life, and the patients did not have significant adverse drug reactions. The treatment is safe and practical, and it is worth further clinical promotion and utilization.
