| Objective:To analyze 3-5 year old children the basic growth and development of children's oral health and the correlation between the two in Bortala of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region were surveyed.Methods: Taking stratified,multi-stage and cluster sampling cross-sectional research methods,a total of 1,089 preschoolers aged 3-5 years were collected from urban and rural areasin Bortala of Xinjiang.Clinical oral examination was conducted to understand the oral health status and basic growth of children The developmental status of dental caries in children of different regions,ethnicities,ages and different genders were compared,and their correlations with basic growth and development were analyzed.Results: Among the 1089 children who underwent oral examinations,the prevalence of dental caries was 72.20%,the caries was 36.2%,the caries were 4.39 and the caries filling rate was only 1.35%.The prevalence of caries,caries and caries were all different(P <0.05).There were significant differences among the children in different ethnic groups(P <0.05).The difference of dental caries filling rate between urban and rural areas was significant(P <0.05).There was a close relationship between the calculus index and the carnitine index and the status of caries.There were also differences in the risk of caries among different teeth.There were significant differences in body mass index in different age,gender and urban and rural areas(P <0.05).There was a significant difference in caries status and caries in children with different body mass index(P <0.05).Conclusion :The prevalence of dental caries among 3-5-year-old preschool children in Bortala of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is relatively high.The oral hygienic conditions and the filling of dental caries are troublesome.The basic growth and development are related to the situation of caries,which requires active andeffective prevention and control measures. |
