ObjectiveCharacteristics of Brain Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Adolescent Asymptomatic Schizophrenia Patients Using Low Frequency Amplitude and Functional Connectivity Method in Resting State,Correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between spontaneous neural activity and symptoms in brain areas and to explore the localization of abnormal brain integration in adolescent schizophrenia.Methods1.Thirty-three cases of adolescent schizophrenia were included, and the first onset was among those who did not take the medicine(Patient group)and 34 normal adolescents(Control group). Both were right handedness.2.PANSS scale was used to evaluate the patients' symptoms, and the positive symptom score, negative symptom score, general psychopathological symptom score and total score were calculated.3.Functional magnetic resonance imaging(FMRI)was performed in 33 patients and 34 controls with Siemens 3.0T MRI machine in Henan Psychiatric Hospital in the resting state(Resting-state Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging,rs-fMRI),After excluding the number of artifacts caused by head movement or other factors during the scan,29 patients and 34 normal controls were obtained with MRI images of brain function.Application of low-frequency oscillation(Amplitude of Low-Frequency Fluctuation,ALFF)The abnormal brain areas of the patient group were obtained by the analysis method, and the independent sample t test was used for the difference.4.The abnormal brain regions were used as "seed points" to analyze the functional connectivity between the whole brain.5.The correlation between brain regions with abnormal ALFF values and symptom scores scale was obtained by Pearson correlation analysis.6.The correlation between symptom scores scale and whole brain area was first analyzed and the correlation between symptom scores scale and brain area was obtained.Results1.Low-frequency amplitude analysis resultsCompared with the control group, the low-frequency amplitude ALFF of the left infratemporal gyrus, thalamus, right hippocampus and right caudate nucleus increased in the patients. The ALFF value of low frequency amplitude in the posterior cingulate gyrus and inferior parietal lobule was decreased(The difference was corrected by independent sample t test,P< 0.01,AlphaSim).2.Functional connection analysis resultsThe functional connectivity between the left inferior temporal gyrus, right hippocampus, right caudate nucleus, thalamus, posterior cingulate gyrus and inferior parietal lobule was analyzed as the seed point.Compared to the control group,The left inferior temporal gyrus was weak in connection with spindle body, inferior frontal gyrus, superior temporal gyrus, superior frontal gyrus, superior frontal gyrus, left anterior cuneiform lobe, superior marginal gyrus, right posterior central gyrus, middle temporal gyrus, insular lobe and parietal lobe.Compared with the control group, the functional connections between the right hippocampus and the limbic lobe, parahippocampal gyrus, caudate nucleus, anterior cuneate lobe, cingulate gyrus, angular gyrus and the upper border gyrus were weakened in the patients.Compared to the control group,The functional connectivity between the right caudate gyrus and the anterior cingulate gyrus, the left precentral gyrus, the left posterior central gyrus, the left lingual gyrus, the inferior parietal lobule, the right inferior lobule, the right lateral putamen, the right accessory motor area, the right anterior wedge, and the right superior frontal gyrus were weakened in the patients.Compared to the control group,The functional connections between the thalamus and the middle temporal gyrus, the left parahippocampal gyrus, the left cerebellar peduncle 2,the superior frontal gyrus, the right fusiform body, the inferior frontal gyrus, the left insula and the anterior part of the right cingulate gyrus were weakened in the patients.Compared with the control group, the posterior cingulate gyrus and the inferior frontal gyrus, the right middle temporal gyrus, the parietal lobe, the left cerebellar peduncle, the caudate nucleus, and the inferior temporal gyrus were compared with the control group, functional connectivity was weakened between the left middle frontal gyrus, the superior frontal gyrus, and the right anterior central gyrus.Compared with the control group, the functional connections between the inferior parietal lobule and the right caudate nucleus, inferior frontal gyrus, left putamen, left assistant motor area and left paracentral lobule were weakened in the patients.3.Pearson correlation analysis resultsAll brain areas with abnormal ALFF values were compared with negative, positive, general and total scores.Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a negative correlation between the left inferior temporal gyrus and the total subscale(r=-0.467).P=0.011),and negative correlation was found between thalamus and positive symptom scale(r=-0.456,P=0.013).A correlation analysis was made between the negative, positive, general and total score scales and the whole brain:A positive correlation was found between the subscale and the insula and the anterior cuneiform lobe. And cingulate gyrus was negatively correlated. The subscale of negative symptoms was negatively correlated with left assistant motor area. The scales of positive symptoms were positively correlated with left insula, left middle temporal gyrus and left posterior central gyrus. There was a negative correlation between the parietal lobe, right superior temporal gyrus and right superior frontal gyrus. The total score was positively correlated with the middle frontal gyrus, inferior frontal gyrus, left superior temporal gyrus, anterior cuneiform lobe and left middle occipital gyrus. There was a negative correlation between left inferior temporal gyrus and left spindle.Conclusions1.Adolescent Schizophrenia During First Onset and No Drug Use in Resting State,There were some abnormal neuronal activity in the left subtemporal gyrus, right hippocampus, right caudate nucleus, thalamus, posterior cingulate gyrus and inferior parietal lobule, there were abnormal spontaneous neuronal activity in these areas.2.We have discovered the Most of the abnormal brain areas showed were involved in the striatum-thalamus-default network loop, which provided additional imaging basis for the abnormal brain loop in the pathophysiological mechanism of adolescent schizophrenia.3.There are extensive abnormal functional connectivity changes in the brain network of adolescent first-time non-drug-using schizophrenia patients under resting state,No change was found in the functional connectivity enhancement, which suggests that adolescent schizophrenia may be a psychiatric disorder involving multiple functional impairments of the brain.4.In addition,we found that some clinical symptoms of adolescent schizophrenia were closely related to many normal and abnormal brain areas. Therefore,we provided clues to explore the relationship between clinical symptoms and brain areas in adolescent schizophrenia patients.
