Objectives:Survey esophageal cancer postoperative's level of general situation, the hope,self-efficacy and coping styles, and identify the relationship of hope,self-efficacy and coping style. We hope that the results can provide a theoretical basis for clinical nursing staff to choose appropriate nursing intervention measures.Method:Investigate 221 patients after esophageal cancer surgery in a provincial hospital from May to December 2017,shandong province with questionnaire. The survey tools included general information questionnaire,Herth hope scale, self management efficiency of the scale and Jalowiec coping scale.SPSS20.0 statistical software was used for input and analysis, and the statistical analysis mainly included:description analysis,t test, single factor analysis,Pearson correlation, multiple regression analysis and mediating effect analysis.Results:1.The total hope scores of the patients was(34.91±4.09),The scores of the three dimensions were:the positive attitude towards reality and the future(11.70±1.56),positive action(11.50±1.49),and maintaining close relationship with others(11.71±1.54).Patients of different ages had different levels of hope. The patient's level of hope was statistically significant(P<0.05)in esophageal cancer surgery, metastasis, tumor staging, complications, and disease awareness.2.Postoperative self-efficacy of patients with esophageal cancer was(95.32±14.31),with positive attitudes(44.00±10.55),self-decompression(12.77±1.37)and self-determination(38.54 ± 6.64).The self-efficacy of the patients was statistically significant(P<0.05)in terms of age, postoperative fatigue, and disease awareness.3.Coping styles of patients after esophageal cancer surgery had eight dimensions:respectively(2.37±0.27),escape(0.68±0.35),optimistic(2.50±0.31),fatalistic(0.50±0.26),emotional catharsis(0.60±0.23),conservative(0.84±0.37),support(0.78±0.29),self-reliance(0.78±0.40).According to the analysis of variance, after esophagectomy in patients with age, marital status, cultural level,is engaged in the occupation and family economic income and medical cost payment, operation method, whether metastasis, tumor stage, whether the degree of pain, fatigue, postoperative patients with unknown illness is deal with the influence factors of coping style selection.4.Pearson correlation analysis shows that there is a significant positive correlation between the level of hope and the total scores and the dimensions of self-efficacy;and there is a significant positive correlation between the level of hope and optimistic, conservative;and there is a significant negative correlation between the level of hope and avoidance, fatalistic, emotional catharsis;Pearson correlation analysis showed that self-efficacy scores and each dimension with coping styles such as face, optimism and support are significant positive correlation, and escape, fatalistic and emotional catharsis has significant negative correlation.5.This paper studies the influence of hope level on coping style with multiple linear regression and mediating regression, and studies the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the above relationship.Self-efficacy plays a complete mediating role in the relationship between hope level and optimism coping style.Conclusions:1.Postoperative patients with esophageal cancer had a medium to high level of hope. The higher the level of hope after esophageal cancer, the higher the self-efficacy.2.Patients with high level of hope are more likely to adopt positive coping styles and less negative coping styles.3.Patients with high level of self-efficacy are more likely to adopt positive coping styles and less negative coping styles.4.Self-efficacy plays a fully mediating role between hope level and optimistic coping style.
