A Comparative Study Of Endobutton Plate And Clavicular Hook Plate In The Treatment Of Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation

Objective To compare the curative effect of Endobutton and clavicular hook plate in the treatment of acromioclavicular joint dislocation.Methods According to different treatment methods,75 patients with acromioclavicular joint dislocation were divided into the Endobutton group(30 cases)and the clavicular hook plate group(45 cases),and all patients were followed up for at least 6 months.The surgery related indicators,Constant-Murley scores,pain visual analogue scale(VAS)scores,and changes of shoulder joint range of motion(include abduction,extorsion and intorion)before and after surgery,and the recovery of shoulder joint function in 6 months post surgery were compared between the two groups.Results All of 75 patients were followed up and the average time was 8.3 ± 1.5 months(6～8 months).The length of incision,intraoperative blood loss,recovery time and VAS scores of the Endobutton group in 6 months after surgery were significantly shorter,less or lower than those of the clavicular hook plate group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the Endobutton group was lower than that in the clavicular hook plate group(3.33%vs 15.56%)(P>0.05).Six months after surgery,the shoulder range of motion(abduction,extorsion and internal rotation)of the Endobutton group was significantly greater than that of the clavicular hook plate group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the excellent and good rate of shoulder functional recovery between the Endobutton group and the clavicular hook plate group at 6 months after surgery(90.00%vs 84.44%)(P>0.05).Conclusion The recent effects of Endobutton and clavicular hook plate are similar in the treatment of patients with acromioclavicular joint dislocation in terms of shoulder function.However,the former has obvious advantages in reducing pain and improving the shoulder range of motion.
