Purpose: To observe the clinic effects on peripheral facial paralysis using shallow needling and quick cupping.Method: All of the 60 valid patients are from the Acupuncture Departments and the Encephalopathy Rehabilitation Departments of The Hospital Affiliated to Changchun University of Chinese Medicine.According to the principle of random,patients are divided into two groups,the treatment group and the control group.Each group has 30 people.And accept the acupuncture and the same quick cupping treatment.Both groups choose the same points.The treatment group uses the shallow needling health side,while the control group use the regular needle treatment.There courses are conducted and each lasts for 10 days.H-B scale,FDI questionnaire and electromyogram results are assessed before and after the treatment.Correlations among the results are analyzed to determine which way is better in terms of treating peripheral facial paralysisResult:1.Through the statistical analysis,there is no significant difference in the age,the sex,the ill side and the course.2.Results of H-B scale,FDI questionnaire and electromyogram analysis : before the treatment,there is no significant difference in both groups;there are significant difference in prior treatment and post treatment in the two groups;after the treatment,there is no significant difference in both groups.3.The cure rate of treatment group is 77%,and the total effective rate is100%.For the control group,the cure rate is 50%,and the total effective rate is 93%.There is a significant difference between two groups.And the treatment group is obviously better.Conclusion: Acupuncture combined with quick cupping has curative effect on peripheral facial paralysis.The effective of shallow needling health side is better than the regular way.
