Objective1.To survey and analyze the family caregivers' nutrition knowledge status and changes ofpatients with gastric cancer during early admission,2~3 months after operation and two months later at the end of chemotherapy.2.Through this investigation,we analyzed the influencing factors of nutrition knowledge of family caregivers in patients with gastric cancer after radical operation, and provided the basis for improving the health education model of family caregivers.Method1.Those who received curative resection because of gastric cancer and undergone chemotherapy in the Gastrointestinal Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from October,2015 to January,2017,and their family caregivers.2.The questionnaires such as Scored Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment(PG-SGA),Digestive nutrition knowledge attitude behavior scale,Caregiver Burden Inventory(CBI)and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)were used to screen the nutritional status of patients and their caregivers to analysis the main influencing factors.3.In the study, patients were assessed by unified training investigators and their profile were established within 24 h after hospitalization, chemotherapy for 2~3 months and two months at the end of chemotherapy. All the questionnaires were filled out according to the requirements.Result1.The present study included a total of 208 cases, the mean age was 56.66±7.813 years;Among them,131 cases were male,77 cases were female; Those who receiving primary education accounted for 54.8%;Tumor TMN stage of ?accounted for 76%;before the surgery,87.5% patients intake food 3 times a day, those who dine less or more than 3 times a day accounted for 11.1% and 1.4%,respectively.73.6% of the patients were able to ask for a meal, while the other 66.8%,the type of meal was determined by their caregivers.2.A total of 208 family caregivers were included,65.9% among them were female, the mean age was 49.83±11.294;189 of them were married, accounted for 90.9%;only 5.3% have religious belief;most caregivers unemployed or retired;those who not receiving higher education accounted for54.4%;patients with spouse caregiversaccounted for 78.4%;patients whose monthly family income less than 1,000 yuan and more than 3000 yuan accounted for 35.1% and 8.7%,respectively.3.The nutritional knowledge score of caregivers before surgery,mid-term surgery and after surgery was 6.26±1.876?7.04±1.966?7.79±1.954respectively;attitude score was 15.45±4.752?15.75±4.747?16.13±4.728 respectively;the mean behavior score was 17.47±4.454?18.30±4.435?19.00±4.473 respectively;the total score was 41.11 ± 9.33 ? 46.50 ± 9.328 ? 44.17 ± 9.352 respectively. The score ofknowledge, behavior and total score, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.As time goes by,the score of CBI is getting higher and higher, and the care burden is increasing. The results of variance analysis showed that the time-dependent burden score, the developmental limited burden score, the physiological burden score and the total score were statistically significant at different times. The time load is the most important, and the scores in the three periods are 1.32 ± 4.65,11.97 ± 5.21 and 12.23 ± 4.98 respectively, followed by the developmental burden, the physiological burden, the social burden and the emotional burden.5.Before surgery, total score of social support of caregivers was 30.50±3.714 points; In the medium-term,social support had a score of 34.05±4.535 points; In later chemotherapy, the social support score was 32.68±3.776 points; The total score of social support, subjective support dimension and utilization of support dimension score of caregivers with different chemotherapeutic, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);In different periods of chemotherapy, caregivers' objective support, was no significant difference(P>0.05).5.Gender,age,attitude,behavior,caregiver burden, social support of caregivers, nutrition status, intake food times of patients were the main factors which influenced thecaregivers' nutrition knowledge status.Conclusion1.The level of awareness of nutrition knowledge of family caregivers is getting better and better with the treatment and rehabilitation of patients, but there is still a low level of nutrition knowledge within most family caregivers.2.Patients and caregivers' basic information, disease information, caregivers' nutrition knowledge, attitude and behavior, caregiver burden, social support information were surveyed;Univariate analysis and multivariate analysis results confirmed:Gender, age, attitude, behavior, social support of caregivers, nutrition status, intake food times of patients were the main factors which influenced the caregivers' nutrition knowledge status.
