ObjectiveTo develop a questionnaire on nutritional care of caregivers for postoperative patients with esophageal cancer and to provide a suitable tool for clinical nurses to evaluate the effect of nutritional education.MethodsCombined with clinical practice, literature review and expert consultation, the research scheme was put forward.1.A qualitative study of the nutritional care of the caregivers of the patients with esophageal cancer after the operation was carried out.The objective sampling method was used to select 8 caregivers and 6 physicians or nurses who were in conformity with the inclusion criteria. The data were collected and analyzed by semi-structured interview and Colaizzi 7 step analysis.Items were transcribed after transcriptions, supplemented with clinical practice, literature review and expert opinions.Guided by KAP theory, the item pool of nutritional knowledge, attitude and behavior questionnaire for postoperative caregivers of esophageal cancer patients was formed, that is the version after consulted.2.After 2 rounds of Delphy's expert consultation, the first draft of the questionnaire was revised to form the initial questionnaire.3.375 caregivers of postoperative patients with esophageal cancer were chosed to test the questionnaire.Using the Microsoft Excel 2016 and SPSS 21.0,using the Critical Ratio method, the Pearson Correlation Analysis, the Principal Component Analysis, the Maximum Variance Orthogonal Rotation method, the Exploratory Factor Analysis, the Content Validity and the Homogeneity Reliability(Cronbach's ? Coefficient)and the External Reliability(Test-Retest Reliability Coefficient)to screen items and test the questionnaire.Results1.According to the qualitative research results, literature review and expert advice,we have formed the consulted version of the nutritional knowledge, attitude and behavior questionnaire for postoperative esophageal cancer caregivers based on KAP theory. There are three dimensions,thirty-three items.2.After 2 rounds of Delphy's expert consultation, according to the experts' opinions and the average and variation coefficient of all items' scores, the deletion of clauses and adjustment of sentences and options were implemented after group discussion.K1,K4,K8,K18 were deleted and A4,P9 were merged,2 items were added. The first questionnaire have 3 dimensions and 30 items.3.After the analysis of the project,2 items were deleted(K15,K12).Validity analysis: the I-CVI range from 0.80 to 1.00,S-CVI/Ave is 0.92;The construct validity: through limiting 3 factors,K14 was deleted after 2 times exploratory factor analysis. The cumulative contribution rate is 59.58%.Reliability analysis: the Cronbach's alpha coefficient of all dimensions range from 0.748 to 0.921,and the Cronbach's ? coefficient of the overall level of the questionnaire is 0.892.The retest reliability of each dimension range from 0.959 to 0.991,and the total level retest reliability of the questionnaire is 0.792.ConclusionThe knowledge, attitude and behavior questionnaire of caregivers of patients with esophageal cancer after operation has good reliability and validity. It is suitable for clinical nurses to evaluate and promote the rehabilitation of the patients Finally.
