Objective:To analyze the mammographic features of breast cancer in different molecular subtypes and discuss the correlation between mammographic features and different molecular subtypes.Materials and Methods : We retrospectively analyzed the digital mammographic and immunohistochemical data of 3909 patients with histopathologically proven breast cancer undergoing operation, analyzed the pattens of lesion in digital mammography, include mass, calcification, mass with calcification, distortion, focal asymmetry and negative.Analyzed the shape, margin, density of mass and form, distribution of calcification in digital mammography.According to the Progesterone Receptor(PR),Progesterone eceptor(PR),Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2(Her-2)and Ki-67 to classify: Luminal A subtype:ER and/or PR(+)?Her-2(-)?Ki-67<14%;Luminal B subtype:(1)ER and/or PR(+)?Her-2(-)?Ki-67 ? 14%;(2)ER and/or PR(+)?Her-2(+);Her-2 over expression subtype: ER(-)? PR(-)?Her-2(+);Basal-Like subtype:ER(-)? PR(-)and Her-2(-).We applied Pearson c2 or Yates c2,the patten of lesions, the features of mass and calcification were comparied between any two of groups,P<0.05 were considered statistically significant.Results:1.Correlation between pattens of lesion in digital mammography and different molecular subtypes of breast cancer:the ratio of mass in Luminal A subtype bigger than Luminal B and Her-2 over expression subtype(P<0.001),the ratio of mass in Basal-Like subtype bigger than Luminal B and Her-2 over expression subtype(P<0.001),the differences were statistically significant;the ratio of mass with calcification in Luminal A subtype smaller than other three subtypes(P<0.05),the differences were statistically significant;the ratio of calcification in Her-2 over expression subtype bigger than other three subtypes(P<0.05),the ratio of mass with calcification bigger than other three subtypes(P<0.001);the ratio of focal asymmetry bigger than other three subtypes(P<0.05),the differences were statistically significant.2.Correlation between features of mass and different molecular subtypes of breast cancer:the ratio of round in Basal-Like subtype bigger than other three subtypes(P<0.05),the ratio of irregular smaller than other three subtype(P<0.05),the differences were statistically significant;the ratio of spiculated margin in Luminal A subtype bigger than other three subtype(P<0.05),the ratio of illdefined margin smaller than other three subtype(P<0.05),the differences were statistically significant;the ratio of high density in Luminal A subtype smaller than other three subtypes(P<0.05),the differences were statistically significant.3.Correlation between features of calcification and different molecular subtypes of breast cancer:the ratio of amorphous in Luminal A subtype bigger than Her-2 over expression subtype and Basal-Like subtype(P=0.003 ? P=0.007),the ratio of pleomorphic in Luminal A subtype smaller than other three subtypes(P<0.05),the ratio of heterogeneous in Luminal A subtype bigger than Luminal B and Her-2 over expression subtype(P<0.001 ?P=0.019),the differences were statistically significant;the ratio of group distribution in Her-2 subtype smaller than than other three subtypes(P<0.05),the differences were statistically significant. Conclusions:A certain correlation exists between mammographic features and different molecular subtypes in patients with breast cancer. The mammographic features of breast cancer can predict its molecular subtype and offer some reference for treatments and prognosis evaluation.
