Background and objective As the most common female malignant tumor in the world, breast cancer has become a major public health problem in the world with increasing morbidity and mortality, and increasingly younger age, which seriously endangers the life and health of women around the world.Medical imaging technology plays a very important role in the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, which is helpful to reduce the mortality of breast cancer patients, improve the prognosis of patients and improve the quality of life of patients. At present, the main imaging techniques of breast examination include X-ray(mainly full-field digital mammography(FFDM),ultrasonic examination and MRI(magnetic resonance imaging)examination. The three imaging examination techniques have their disadvantages and need to be further improved. With the development and progress of the society, imaging examination technology is also developing and updating.Digital breast tomosynthesis(DBT)is a new improved technique of mammography.A lot of studies at home and abroad have proved that DBT technology significantly increases the detection rate of lesions and improves the accuracy of diagnosis of lesions compared with FFDM photography.Although DBT technology has been widely used in the screening and diagnosis of clinical breast diseases abroad,it has not been widely used in China. This study mainly compared the diagnostic efficacy of digital mammography(full-field digital mammography and digital mammary tomography)and MRI in the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions.Materials and methods The imaging and clinical data of 54 patients with breast cancer and 54 patients with benign breast lesions who underwent FFDM,DBT and MRI in anqing hospital affiliated to anhui medical university from May 2018 to March 2019 and were confirmed by pathology were collected.Pathological results were used as the gold standard to classify, diagnose and evaluate the lesions with reference to the 2013 edition of breast imaging report and data system(bi-rads).The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to compare and analyze the diagnostic efficacy of five examination methods(FFDM,DBT,MRI,FFDM+DBT,FFDM+MRI),and Z test was used to compare the statistical differences among them. Results There were 54 benign lesions and 54 malignant lesions in 108 breast patients.Area under the curve(AUC)of FFDM,DBT,MRI,FFDM+DBT and FFDM+MRI based on the BI-RADS were 0.750 、0.861 、0.889 、 0.880 and 0.917 respectively. The comparison results showed that the AUC of the four methods(DBT,MRI,FFDM+DBT and FFDM+MRI)were all higher than that of FFDM,and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in AUC between the four methods(P > 0.05).In addition, the specificity and positive predictive value of DBT were higher than that of MRI and FFDM(MRI was higher than FFDM),and the sensitivity of MRI was higher than that of DBT and FFDM(DBT was higher than FFDM).Conclusion(1)All the five imaging methods have certain diagnostic value, among which FFFDM+MRI has the highest diagnostic value.(2)The diagnostic efficiency of DBT in benign and malignant breast lesions is higher than that of FFDM,and is similar to that of MRI.(3)The specificity and positive predictive value of DBT were higher than that of MRI and FFDM.
