Objective: Qinghai province is located in the qinghai-tibet plateau,the plateau area of red blood cell distribution width and the relationship between cerebral infarction patients with carotid artery plaque stability studies very little,this experiment is observing the qinghai xining region red blood cell distribution width and cerebral infarction in patients with carotid atherosclerotic plaque stability,to provide a theoretical basis for carotid atherosclerotic plaques in patients with cerebral infarction.Methods: We continue to collect 104 cases for the first time of the cerebral infarction patients,whos duration is less than 72 hours and allocated in Qinghai in April 2015-November 2016 from the university hospital neurology clinic.Color Doppler ultrasonography was applied to 104 cases of the cerebral infarction patients,according to the results of color doppler ultrasonography divided into normal carotid artery group and carotid artery anomalies group;carotid artery anomalies group were separately for head and neck CTA examnation,according to the results of CTA divided into the hard plaque group,soft plaque group,mixed plaque group.The collection of the general clinical data and the cerebral infarction patients risk factors,glycosylated hemoglobin,hemoglobin,RDW,high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),white cell,uric acid,TG,LDL,HDL were performed and data were compared between groups.Results:(1)Abnormal carotid group of RDW was obviously higher than that of the carotid artery in normal group(P < 0.05);(2)Hard spot quick group of RDW is higher than that of carotid artery often group(P < 0.05);(3)Mixed plaque of RDW is higher than hard plaque group(P < 0.05);(4)Soft plaque is higher than the mixed plaque(P< 0.05);(5)Correlation analysis showed that gender,age,hypertension,diabetes,coronary heart disease,smoking,RDW,TG,LDL-C,hs-CRP,uric acid and carotid artery plaque instability were positively correlated.(6)Hypertension,LDL,RDW were eventually incorporated into the regression equation by analyzing multiple linear stepwise regression,after adjustment for high blood pressure,LDL influence factors,RDW is still the independent risk factors for the instability of carotid plaques(OR =5.843,95% CI: 2.321 ~ 14.705,P < 0.05).(7)The Spearman rank correlation analysis,RDW level was positively correlated with the degree of carotid plaque vulnerability(r= 0.727,P < 0.05),the RDW is independent impact factors for carotid plaques,and increased RDW level with plaque stability change subsequently.Conclusions:(1)RDW,LDL,high blood pressure is the independent risk factors for the stability of carotid plaques.(2)The increase of RDW values gradually reduce the stability of carotid plaques,which can be used as a new indicator of detecting vulnerable plaques.(3)RDW and gender,age,hypertension,diabetes,coronary heart disease,smoking,TG,LDL-C,hs-CRP,uric acid,is a risk factor for stability of carotid plaques.
