| Objective: To observe the efficacy of tolterodine combined with ta msulosin in double-J stent related lower urinary tract symptoms.Methods: A total of eighty patients received double-J stents(male50,female 30).The patients were randomized into four groups which ha d 20 patients respectively.All the patients took medication after removal of urine tube one week later.Group A(tamsulosin 0.2mg,take orally,o nce daily),group B(tolterodine 4.0mg,take orally,once daily),group C were given a combination of two medicines,group D were deemed as a blank control,four groups were given the same preoperative and post operative routine therapy.All the patients were followed up for three w eeks out of hospital.International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),Quality Of Life(QOL)and Visual Analogue Pain Scale(VAS)were completed by each patient three weeks later.Results:1 The data of four groups(gender,age and the way of cathetering)showed no significant statistical differences(P > 0.05),and the symptom scores(IPSS,QOL,VAS)had no obvious correlation with the characteristics(age,gender and the way of cathetering)of patients(P>0.05).2 The VAS scores of four groups(A,B,C,D)were 2.43? 0.47,2.02?0.43,1.20? 0.56 and 2.87? 0.57 respectively,The multiple comparison sho wed that the treatment effects of three groups(tamsulosin,tolterodine an d combination group)were better than that of blank control group(P<0.05),the treatment effect of combination group was better than the tamsul osin/tolterodine group’s(P<0.05),the treatment effect of tolterodine group was better than the tamsulosin group’s(P<0.05).3 The IPSS scores were 41.13,43.08,12.63,65.18 and the QOL scoreswere 40.40,36.65,19.70,65.25 respectively.The multiple comparison of IPSS and QOL all showed that there were no significant statistical differences between tamsulosin group and tolterodine group(P>0.05),and the treatment effect of combination group was better than that of tamsulosin group and tolterodine group(P<0.05).4 The obstructive symptom scores were 32.13,52.23,18.58,59.08 and the bladder irritation scores were 51.05,32.95,14.50,63.50 respecti vely.The obstructive symptom score showed that the treatment effects o f tamsulosin group and combination group were better than that of tolte rodine group and blank control group(P<0.05),tamsulosin group and co mbination group had no significant statistical difference(P>0.05),toltero dine group and blank control group had no significant statistical differen ce(P>0.05);The bladder irritation symptoms score showed that the treat ment effects of tolterodine group and combination group were better tha n that of tamsulosin group and blank control group(P<0.05),there were no significant statistical differences between tolterodine group and com bination group(P>0.05),tamsulosin group and the blank control group had no significant statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusions:1 Tamsulosin,tolterodine and the combination therapy with tamsulosin and tolterodine can all improve the double-J stent related lower urinary tract symptoms,and the combined treatment of two drugs was more effective than the treatment of single one.2 Tamsulosin mainly improved the double-J stent related lower urinary obstructive symptoms,and tolterodine mainly improved the double-J stent related lower urinary bladder irritation. |
