Objective: To investigate the relationship between serum CARP level and coronary artery lesion in patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus and whether the protein is valuable for the severity of coronary artery stenosis in these patients. And to explore the relationship between serum CARP levels and coronary heart disease-related risk factors at the same time. Methods: In this study,298 patients underwent coronary angiography(CAG)in our hospital from October 2015 to October 2016 at the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University for suspected coronary heart disease(CHD)were enrolled in this study.According to results of CAG and diagnoses of diabetes mellitus were divided into three groups: control group(group A): single coronary artery stenosis less than20%,a total of 64 cases;simple coronary heart disease group(B group): left main stenosis> 30%,or other three There were at least one coronary stenosis> 50% in 115cases;coronary heart disease with diabetes mellitus(group C): left main stenosis>30%,or 3 other at least 1 coronary stenosis> 50% American Diabetes Association(ADA)diabetes diagnosis and treatment standards were diagnosed with diabetes,a total of 119 cases. The levels of serum CARP and Hb A1 c were measured, cardiac ultrasonography was used to measure the left ventricular posterior wall and ventricular septal thickness, gensini score was calculated by coronary angiography, and the correlations between CARP and them were investigated. Results: The level of serum CARP in the patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus(23.29 ± 6.31)was significantly higher than that in the patients with coronary heart disease(17.33 ± 5.77)and the control group(8.32 ± 4.58),the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05,P <0.01).There was a positive correlation between serum CARP level and Gensini score in the patients with coronary heart disease(r = 0.53,P <0.01)and coronary heart disease with diabetes mellitus(r = 0.664,P <0.01).In the simple coronary heart disease group, the level of serum CARP(R = 0.360,p <0.01)was significantly positively correlated with hypertension course(r=0.360,p<0.01)and LDL-c(r = 0.332,p <0.01),and negatively correlated with HDL-c(r =-0.450,p <0.01).In the coronary heart disease with diabetes group, the level of serum CARP was significantly positively correlated with hypertension course(r=0.443,p<0.01)and LDL-c(r=0.346,p<0.01),and negatively correlated with HDL-c(r =-0.561,p <0.05).Conclusion:(1)The serum level of CARP in patients with coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes was closely related to the severity of coronary artery stenosis.(2)Serum CARP level of group C was positively correlated with Hb Alc levels.(3)The serum level of CARP was positively correlated with cardiac hyperthrophy.
