Objective:The purpose of the study is to design the questionnaire about operating room nurses' knowledge, attitude, practice about preventing IPH,so as to learn about the condition of knowledge, attitude, practice about preventing inadvertent perioperative hypothermia(IPH)among operating room nurses in secondary and tertiary general hospitals in Shanxi province, meanwhile explore the related influence factors primarily.Methods:1.Questionnaire construction: Designed the first draft of the questionnaire about the operating room nurses' knowledge, attitude, practice about preventing IPH based on the knowledge-attitude-practice theoretical model, and searched the current domestic and foreign literature,as well as guideline or processes about preventing inadvertent perioperative hypothermia which had been promulgated, meanwhile in combination with semi-structured interviews and expert group members review. After primarily investigated345 operating room nurses in 15 secondary and tertiary general hospitals in Taiyuan of Shanxi, then completed the screening of questionnaire items and formed the final questionnaire by means of the statistical methods of differentiation analysis, correlation coefficient and exploratory factor analysis.2.Prevalence survey: Surveyed 852 operating room nurses in 7 tertiary and 38 secondary general hospitals in Shanxi by means of the final questionnaire. And calculated the Cronbach's alpha coefficient,S-CVI index and exploratory factor analysis to evaluate the quality of the questionnaire. At the same time, the basic information of respondents was described by use of frequency and percentage;the scores of operating room nurses' knowledge, attitude, practice were described by use of means±standard deviation;at last the influence factors of different operating room nurses' scores were analyzed by t-test,analysis of variance, multiple linear regression analysis.Results:1.The questionnaire construction and evaluation: The questionnaire draft, which consisted of three dimensions of 55 items, was formed by two rounds of expert group members review, and 8 items of knowledge and practice were deleted by means of differentiation analysis, correlation coefficient and exploratory factor analysis after primary investigation. At last, the final questionnaire was established, which consisted of 47 items. The outcomes of formal investigation result analysis indicated that, questionnaire'Cronbach's alpha was 0.928,re-test reliability was 0.929,content validity was 0.972,the cumulative variance contribution rate of 11 common factor which were extracted by means of exploratory factor analysis method, was 60.878%.2.The results of prevalence survey: The average score of operating room nurses' knowledge about prevention IPH was(9.87±3.77),standardized score was(58.05±22.20);the average score of attitude was(9.87±3.77),standardized score was(73.64±10.01);the average score of practice was(43.29±5.93),standardized score was(75.95±10.40).In addition to,knowledge and attitude(r=0.724),knowledge and practice(r=0.609),attitude and practice(r=0.553)all had significant positive correlation(P<0.01).Multiple stepwise regression analysis results indicated that the influence factors of knowledge score were educational background(b=1.545),the condition of heat preservation process configuration(b=1.540),hospital rank(b=1.474),job title(b=0.827),the degree of leader'attention(b=0.468)and working years in the operating room(b=0.287);the influence factors of attitude score were position(b=1.298),hospital rank(b=1.079),educational background(b=0.995),job title(b=0.975),the condition of heat preservation process configuration(b=0.714),the condition of knowledge score(b=0.670)and age(b=0.520);the influence factors of practice score were hospital rank(b=2.168),the condition of heat preservation process configuration(b=1.940),the degree of leader' attention(b=0.691)andthe condition of knowledge scores(b=0.456)and attitude scores(b=0.216).Conclusion:The cognitive level of operating room nurses' knowledge about preventing IPH in secondary and tertiary general hospital in Shanxi closes to other similar domestic research results, and still need to be further improved;attitude and practice still need to be further strengthened. All levels of hospitals should strengthen the management of prevention IPH and investment degree, improve the configuration of heat preservation facilities and the construction of heat preservation process, meanwhile strengthen the knowledge training of the operating room nursing team,so as to improve their level of knowledge, attitude and practice about prevention IPH and ensure the safety and comfort of surgery patients.
