ObjectiveTo develop a feasible, operable and effective questionnaire on preoperative visit, postoperative transfer and postoperative follow-up of operating room nurses, which can provide reference for the education and training direction of holistic nursing of operating room nurses,to provide a reliable tool for clinical operating room perioperative nursing management, and it provides a measurement tool with high reliability and validity for related research.Methods1.In the first study, the initial item pool of the questionnaire was developed based on literature review and semi-structured interviews with surgical patients, operating room nurses and anesthesiologists.According to the initial item pool of the questionnaire,an expert inquiry form was established.Using Delphi expert consultation method,15 experts were invited to conduct two rounds of inquiry on the initial questionnaire indicators. The questionnaire items were analyzed and modified according to the expert opinions. The convenience sampling method was used to select the nurses in the operating room of third class a general hospital in Tianjin for preliminary investigation, and the test version of the questionnaire was determined.2.In the second study,by using cross-sectional survey and convenient sampling method,166 nurses who met the inclusion criteria in the operating rooms of third class a general hospitals in Tianjin from October 2019 to December 2019 were selected for questionnaire survey(160 questionnaires were actually collected). Two weeks later,20 nurses were selected for retest. The data were analyzed by SPSS25.0 software, and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were evaluated by item analysis, factor analysis, content validity index(CVI),Cronbach ’α coefficient, half reliability and retest reliability coefficient.Results1.In the first study,on the basis of reading a large number of relevant literature at home and abroad, combined with the results of semi-structured interviews with surgical patients, operating room nurses and anesthesiologists,an initial item pool of 30 items was formed including three dimensions of preoperative interview cognition, postoperative transportation cognition and postoperative follow-up cognition. The positive coefficient of experts in two rounds of Delphi method is 100%,and the authoritative coefficient is 0.934 and 0.938 respectively. The results of expert consultation were analyzed, and 27 items including preoperative visit cognition, postoperative transportation cognition and postoperative follow-up cognition were obtained.2.In the second study, the items that did not meet the standard were deleted.Exploratory factor analysis showed that the cumulative variance contribution rate of the three factors was 62.749%;I-CVI was 0.933-1.0,S-CVI/UA was 0.923,and S-CVI/Ave was 0.991.The Cronbach ’α coefficient of each dimension was 0.849,0.951 and 0.893 respectively, and the overall Cronbach’ α coefficient of internal consistency was 0.962;the half confidence of each dimension was 0.844,0.950 and 0.827 respectively, and the overall half confidence was 0.927;the retest reliability was 0.997.There are three dimensions including three dimensions of preoperative interview cognition, postoperative transportation cognition and postoperative follow-up cognition. There are 26 items in the questionnaire application version.ConclusionThis study completed the development and evaluation of perioperative nursing cognition questionnaire for operating room nurses. The questionnaire mainly includes the investigation of the cognition of the nurses in the operating room on the patients’ preoperative visit, postoperative transport and postoperative follow-up,which is divided into three dimensions,26 items in total,7 items of the cognition of the preoperative visit,12 items of the cognition of the postoperative transport, and 7 items of postoperative follow-up.After reliability and validity analysis, the questionnaire has good reliability and validity. It can be used as a qualified tool to investigate the perioperative nursing cognition of nurses in operating room.
