Short-term Clinical Results Of Bone Split Simultaneous Implantation With GBR

Objective:Bone splitting technique is an effective way to solve the problem that whose alveolar level is insufficient but need planting.The purpose of this paper is to study that after using piezosurgery with manual osteotome device for bone splitting combined with GBR Technology,the stability of implant,the change of the width of the bone,and the pink esthetics score after restoration,the satisfaction of patients and other clinical problems,to evaluate the clinical effect of piezosurgery with manual osteotome device for bone splitting combined with GBR technology to implant in the alveolar bone under the horizontal width.Methods:In this study,according to the inclusion / exclusion criteria,the data collected from 34 patients treated with implant that who have enough vertical bone but insufficient horizontal bone in the edentulous area.All patients were treated with piezosurgery and manual osteotome device combined with GBR dental implant technology simultaneous implant placement.After 6 months of healing,stage-two surgery was carried out.Otherwise,restorations were made for the implants two weeks later.By comparing the stability of implant and the width of the ridge at operation with that 6 months later,the pink esthetics score at the restoration was completed with that 6 months later,and the satisfaction of patients to evaluate the short-term clinical results of the operation.Results:A total of 34 patients were enrolled in this study.One patient presented with a fracture of the lip plate during operation and his' data was discharged of statistics.The average age of patients was 51.82±9.40 Y.All the patients had good per-implant osseointegration,and all of them were completed the restorations of the upper structure of the implants.The success rate was 100%.1.The implant stability quotient of the implants at operation and that 6 months later were 48.94±3.77 and 70.27±3.55.There was significant statistical difference between two periods(p<0.01).2.The width of the ridge at operation and that 6 months later were 3.47±0.23 mm and 4.72±0.22 mm.There was statistical difference between two periods(p<0.01).3.The pink esthetics score at the restoration was completed and that 6 months later were 7.76±1.19 and 9.69±2.17.There was statistical difference between two periods(p<0.01).4.The patient's satisfaction of the implant restoration treatment was related to the function of masticatory,sensation,aesthetics,and the cost.On the other hand,the sensation and comfort degree were also correlated(p < 0.05).There was no correlation between the indicators of the satisfaction questionnaire and the pink aesthetic scores after surgery(p>0.05).Conclusion:The technology of piezosurgery with manual osteotome device for bone splitting combined with GBR expands the relative indications for implant therapy.The results showed that there was a good clinical effect on the implant treatment of bone and soft tissues of the patients who have enough vertical bone but insufficient horizontal bone in the edentulous area,and the patients were satisfied with the restoration of the implant.
