Objective:The aim of present study was to observe peri-implant soft tissue stability in aesthetic area and evaluate the esthetic outcomes of single-toothimplant restorations in anterior maxilla. In addition, the study aimed to analyze the correlative factors affecting thesoft tissue esthetic outcomes and discuss new technologiesaffecting soft tissue stability in aesthetic area. Methods:Thirty patients subjective to single-tooth replacement withimplant(OsstemTS,Dentium,Astra,Straumann)supported restoration in anterior maxilla were included.Bone augmentation was performed in thirty patients. After the healing of 5 months, temporary prostheses or final prosthescswere restored according to the circumstance of soft tissue. If necessary, gingival recontouring is supposed to be done.Assessments of soft tissue after crown placement and3-month,6-month,12-month follow-up were made.Clinical parameters and aesthetic outcome using the pink esthetic score and white esthetic score(PES,WES)were evaluated.Results:(1)After the healing of 5 months, all the implants have up to the standard of implant success on the basis of clinical examination and image examination.(2)Assessments of clinical parameters of peri-implant soft tissue after crown placement and3-month,6-month,12-month follow-up were made.Generally speaking, good oral home care was performed by patients. The mPLI?PD and mBI remained at low levels and had no changes. The peri-implant soft tissues appeared clinically healthy.(3)Evaluate aesthetic outcome of peri-implant soft tissues by using the pink esthetic score and white esthetic score. The value of PES had increased obviously for the single-tooth in anterior dental aesthetic area after the final prostheses are inserted in thirty cases(p<0.05).Conclusion:1.The value of PES has increased obviously for the single-tooth in anterior dental aesthetic area after three to six months later the final prostheses are inserted.Peri-implant soft tissue has remodeled, simultaneously the height of mesial papilla and distal papilla has increased.2.To some extent, the use of temporary implant restorations have an improvement on esthetic results and it is indispensable to remodel soft tissue through provisional implant prostheses.3.To a certain extent, thick gingiva biotypeeffectively avoid the risk ofgingival recession. It is important for patients to undergo a preoperativeassessment of gingiva biotype.4.Comparing with immediate implant placement and delayed implant placement, early implant placement accompanying GBR can obtain satisfactory aesthetic effect on the primise of correct three-dimensional position.
