Objective:To explore the relationship between the level of serum glycosylated hemoglobin A1 c and the degree of coronary artery stenosis in patients with coronary heart disease and its mechanism of action,Methods:A total of 172 patients examined by coronary arteriongraphy(CAG)were divided into CHD without DM group(n=67),CHD accompanied with DM group(n=59)and matched group(n=46).The level of serum GHbA1 c and general biochemical indicators in all these patients were determined while Gensini score was regarded as an index in order to evaluate the degree of coronary artery stenosis. The relationship between the level of serum glycosylated hemoglobin A1 c and the degree of coronary artery stenosis in patients with coronary heart disease was analyzed. Results:The level of serum GHbA1c(6.16±0.43%)and Gensini score(74.5±16.5)in CHD without DM group were higher than those of matched group(5.52±0.41%,32.5±15.5)(P ? 0.01).And the level of serum GHbA1c(7.38±0.39%)and Gensini score(80.5±13.5)in CHD accompanied with DM group were dramatically higher than those of CHD without DM group and matched group(P ? 0.01).By Spearman correlation and multiple linear regression analysis, the level of serum GHbA1 c waspositively related with Gensini score(=0.367,P?0.01).Conclusion:The level of serum GHbA1 c was positively related with the degree of coronary artery stenosis in patients with coronary heart disease. And the level of serum GHbA1 c is a significant dangerous factor affecting the function of coronary artery.
