Objective: To develop health literacy scale for junior school students,to understand the current situation of health literacy level of junior high school students in Chongqing, and to explore the influencing factors of health literacy of junior high school students, and to provide reference for further development of health literacy among junior school students.Methods:1.According to the theoretical conception, the literature was extensively consulted, and the initial scale of junior school students' health literacy with 54 items was formed after discussion group.476 junior middle school students were pre-surveyed and six screening methods were used to carry out the initial scale item screening, the formation of a formal test scale, and its reliability and validity of a preliminary evaluation.2.A total of 1832 junior school students in four middle schools in Shapingba District of Chongqing City were collected by cluster stratified sampling method."Health Literacy Scale of Junior School Students" was conducted and the factors influencing the health literacy of junior school students were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression. Results :1.Through the screening of the items and the reliability and validity test,"Health Literacy Scale of Junior School Students" composed of 50 items consisting of functional health literacy, interactive health literacy and critical health literacy 3 dimensions 9 factors were formed. The correlation coefficients of the total score and the three dimensions were 0.840,0.787,0.724 and 0.697 respectively. The Cronbach's ? coefficient of the scale and the three dimensions were 0.948,0.947,0.857 and 0.918 respectively. The exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis showed that the scale structure was consistent with the theoretical conception.2.The survey showed that functional health literacy, interactive health literacy and critical health literacy and overall health literacy were 44.8%,38.4%,60.2% and 41.7% respectively.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the first and second grade(OR = 0.719,95%CI = 0.565~0.916;OR=0.709,95%CI=0.560~0.899),not live in school(OR= 0.705,95%CI= 0.535~0.930),the academic performance excellent and moderate(OR= 0.624,95% CI = 0.489~0.795;OR =0.679,95% CI = 0.538~0.857)and located in the city(OR=0.717,95% CI = 0.539~0.955)are protective factors of overall health literacy. The non-only child(OR = 1.257,95% CI = 1.031~1.532)is a risk factor. The academic performance excellent and moderate(OR = 0.485,95% CI = 0.380~0.618;OR = 0.555,95% CI = 0.440~0.701)and located in the city(OR= 0.693,95% CI =0.521~0.920)are protective factors of functional health literacy. The non-only child(OR = 1.283,95% CI = 1.054~1.563)is a risk factor. The first and second grade(OR = 0.605,95% CI = 0.473~0.775;OR = 0.541,95% CI = 0.425~0.689)is a protective factor of interactive health literacy. The femal(OR = 1.464,95% CI = 1.202~1.783)is a risk factor. Not live in school(OR = 0.688,95% CI = 0.528~0.896),and rich family(OR = 0.595,95% CI =0.410~0.865)are protective factors of critical health literacy.Family relationship in general(OR = 1.903,95% CI = 1.175~3.083)is a risk factor.Conclusion:1.The evaluation of health literacy scale for junior school students in the study has good reliability and validity, and can be used as a related evaluation tool to evaluate the health literacy level of junior school students.2.In the future junior school students' health literacy interventions, the factors(the level of grade, living in school, academic performance, number of children in family, family location, family economy, family relationship)influencing the health literacy level of the junior school students should be focused on.
