Comparative Study For Lvis/Lvis Jr Stent And Solitaire AB Stent Assisted Early Coiling Of Ruptured Intracranial Aneurysm

OBJECTIVE: To retrospectively analyze the medical records of ruptured intracranial aneurysm patients who were treated with Lvis / Lvis Jr stent or with Solitaire AB stent in early time in neurosurgery department of our branch hospital in order to compare the operative complications,operative effect,and prognosis between the two stents.The comparative study outcomesMETHODS: Medical records of ruptured intracranial aneurysm patients treated with stent in their early time(in 72 hours from SAH attach)in neurosurgery department of Laoshan branch of Qingdao University affiliated hospital from January 1,2012 to July 30,2016 were collected.The inclusive criteria was blow: 1,Patients with SAH was verified by CT or Lubar pucture.2,Patients with aneurysm was diagnosed by CTA or DSA.3,Patients assistedly treated by Lvis/Lvis Jr or Solitaire AB stent.exclusive criteria was blow: 1,Multiple aneurysms patients.2,Unruptured Aneurysm patients.3,Open Surgery and Intravascular combined treated patients.4,Patients intravascular treatment happened after 72 hours after SAH attack.5,Patients with loss of Follow-up in 6 months.Patients received Lvis / Lvis Jr sents from November 2014 to July 2016 were classified as Lvis/Lvis stent group,and patients received Solitaire AB stens from Jaunary 2012 to October were classified as Solitaire AB stent group.Quantitative data use t-test and qualitative data use chi-square test.The data of both two groups were input into SPSS22.0 for analyzing and calculated the P value.If the P value <0.05,then there is statistical significant difference between the two group.RESULTS: The P value of age,sex,Hunt-Hess grade,Fisher Grade,aneurysms location and aneurysms size of the two group was 0.25,0.96,0.46,0.75,0.91 and 0.78 respectively.There was no statistical significant difference in age,sex,Hunt-Hess grade,Fisher Grade,aneurysms location and aneurysms size between the two groups.The immediately complete obligation rate was 56.67% in Lvis/Lvis Jr stent group and 51.52% in Solitaire AB stent group,with no significant difference between the two group(P=0.68%).No procedure-related mortality occurred in both groups.Procedure related complications occurred in 5 cases in Lvis/Lvis Jr stent group(16.67%),whereas 4 cases occurred in Solitaire AB stent group(12.12%),with no significant difference between the two group(P=0.88).Procedure related hemorrhagic occurred in 1 cases in Lvis/Lvis Jr stent group(3.33%),whereas 1 cases occurred in Solitaire AB stent group(3.03%),with no significant difference between the two group(P=1.00).Procedure related thrombosis event occurred in 2 cases in Lvis/Lvis Jr stent group(6.67%),whereas 1 cases occurred in Solitaire AB stent group(3.03%),with no significant difference between the two group(P=0.93).precedured-related vasospastic occurred in 2 cases in Lvis/Lvis Jr stent group(6.67%),whereas 2 cases occurred in Solitaire AB stent group(6.06%),with no significant difference between the two group(P=1.00).No mid-term(6-months follow-up)recurrence was observed in Lvis/Lvis Jr stent group but there is 1 recurrance(3.03%)case in Solitaire AB stent group,with no significant difference between the two group(P=1.00).Mid-term favorable outcomes(modified Rankin Scores of 0-2)rate was 67.69% in Lvis/Lvis Jr stent group,whereas Solitaire AB stent group was 60.71%,with no significant difference between the two group(P=0.82).mid-term complete aneurysm obligation rate was 86.67% in the Lvis/Lvis Jr group and 60.61% in Solitiare AB stent group,with significant statistical difference observed.CONCLUSIONS: 1,procedure-related complications rate,mid-term favorable outcomes rate and immediately complete occlution rate are similar between Lvis/Lvis Jr stent and Solitaire AB stent.2,Lvis/Lvis Jr stent have a greater mid-term complete aneurysm occlution rate compared with Solitaire AB stent.3,Lvis/Lvis Jr stent is a secure and efficient intracranial stent.
