Objective:Sleep is an important part of human life activities which can promote growth, physical recovery, learning and memory. In another hand, sleep disorders have adverse effects on the health. It can increase the risk of developing and dying of hypertension, coronary heart disease and other cardiovascular disease.Interventions to sleep disorders can benefit the cardiovascular patients who have sleep disorders. In clinical work,we can see a lot of cardiovascular medicine inpatients with varying degrees of sleep disorders. But many clinicians are not paying enough attention on sleep quality of patients. This study will investigate and compare the sleep quality of the 7 days before and after the patients were hospitalized, and analyze its influencing factors, for providing a reference of establishing more comprehensive treatment and care programs to make the patients can get more benefits in the future. Methods:A total of 2000 patients who were hospitalized over 7 days in Department of Cardiology, the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University were selected as subjects during 2016.1 to 2016.12.On the 8th day of hospitalization and admission, the Improved Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale and Self-made Sleep Quality Influencing Factors Questionnaire were completed to investigate the sleep quality and influencing factors of the 7 days before and after the patients were hospitalized.Excel2003 software was used to input and manage survey data, and SPSS22.0 software was used to analyze the survey data.Having done normality test, the measurement data are expressed as mean ± standard deviation((?)±S)and the comparison between the two groups using paired t-test.The count data are used x 2 test, and P<0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Result:1 The total score of PSQI of 7 days before the patients were hospitalized was 8.76 ±2.71,and the proportion of patients without sleep disorders, mild sleep disorders and severe sleep disorders was 38.10%,52.75%and 9.15%.The total score of PSQI of 7 days after the patients were hospitalized was 12.31 ±3.03,and the proportion of patients without sleep disorders, mild sleep disorders and severe sleep disorders was 5.65%,86.60%and 7.75%,The total score of PSQI and the score of each component were higher after the patients were hospitalized, and all the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).2 The total score of PSQI of surgical treatment of patients,non-surgical treatment of patients and patients with different cardiovascular diseases was>7 both the 7 days before and after the patients were hospitalized. And the total score of PSQI were higher after the patients were hospitalized, and all the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).3 The first three influencing factors of sleep quality of the 7 days before the patients were hospitalized were discomfort caused by illness, worried about the disease and economic burden, and the percentage of the total number of cases were 76.60%,53.25%and 34.05%respectively.4 The first three influencing factors of sleep quality of the 7 days after the patients were hospitalized were noise, sleep environment and economic burden, and the percentage of the total number of cases were 70.35%,65.75%and 49.45%respectively.5 Noise, sleep environment, discomfort caused by medical, economic burden and lifestyle changes were increased, and discomfort caused by illness and worried about the disease were reduced, compared with the 7 days before the patients were hospitalized. And all the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1 The sleep quality of most cardiovascular patients is worse after they were hospitalized.61.90%of patients had varying degrees of sleep disorders before they were hospitalized, and the figure rose to 94.35%after they were hospitalized.Patients with mild sleep disorders increased the most obvious.2 The influencing factors of sleep quality of cardiovascular patients before and after they were hospitalized were different, and the significant increased influencing factors were noise, sleep environment, discomfort caused by medical and economic burden after the patients were hospitalized. In future clinical work,we should focus on these influencing factors to intervene in order to improve the sleep quality of cardiovascular patients.I believe that patients can benefit more with our efforts, and it is also a kind of human care for patients at the same time.
