Comparative Analysis Of Automatic Fixed And Ultrapro Mesh In Repair Of Tension-free Inguinal Hernia

Objective:To compare and analyze the clinical effects of automatic fixed and ultrapro mesh in the repair tension-free of inguinal hernia.Methods: Selected 92 cases with inguinal hemia patients from Qian Xi Nan People's Hospital in January 2015 to December 2015.which were divided into the experimental group(n=47 automatic fixed mesh)and the control group(n=45 ultrapro mesh).The tension-free repair technique was underwent with general anesthesia or combined spinal epidural anesthesia on all patients.The changes of clinical parameters were observed,such as operation time,postoperative hospital stay,hospital costs,postoperative complications(incision infection,scrotal effusion,recurrence),postoperative foreign body sensation and chronic pain in the two groups.Pain scores was used to visual analogue scale record.Result: 92 patients followed up for 15 months.There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of age,type of hernia and accompanying diseases(P>0.05).The automatic fixed mesh group was better than ultrapro mesh group for the average operation time,postoperative hospital stay,after surgery 1 month,3 months,6 months,9months,15 months of postoperative foreign body sensation and 3 day,1 month,3 months,9months and 15 months of chronic pain,showing a significant difference(P <0.05)between the two groups.However,in terms of hospital costs,automatic fixed mesh group was more than ultrapro mesh group,showing a significant difference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in the aspect of postoperative complications(incision infection,scrotal effusion,recurrence)(P>0.05)).Conclusion: The hospital costs in automatic fixed mesh group was more than that of ultrapro mesh group,but without significant difference in aspect of postoperative complications(incision infection,scrotal effusion,recurrence).The automatic fixed mesh in tension-free inguinal hernia repair patients not only could effectively reduce operation time and postoperative hospital stay,but also could reduce the incidence of postoperative foreign body sensation and postoperative chronic pain.
