Study Of Temperament Types And Behavior Problems Of Asthmatic Children

Object: This topic tracks to the temperament types and behavior problems of 3-7years old preschool asthmatic children.This topic provides the basic data of such groups.By assessing the relationship between the asthmatic children,s temperament types and behavior problems,we can have a more comprehensive understanding of asthmatic children.And it provides the basis for intervention and treatment of relieving asthmatic attack and reducing the behavioral problems.Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted between 78 children aged 3-7 years old who were diagnosed with bronchial asthma and 75 normal by Chinese Preschool Tempreament Scale(CPTS)and Parent Symptom Questionnaire(PSQ).It assesses the distribution of two groups of children's temperament and behavior problems,then we can make a comparative analysis of the results.Results:1.Compared with the control group,the levels of activity,adaptability,attention dispersion were higher in the asthma group,the difference was significant(P < 0.05).Distribution of temperament,the proportion of the common type was less in the asthma group,the proportion of the troublesome type and the intermediate type was higher,the difference was significant(X2=6.833,P<0.05).2.The detection rate of children's behavioral problems in asthma group was higher than that in control group,the difference was significant(X2 =4.635,P=0.031).Compared with the control group,the score of conduct problems,mind-body problems,and hyperactivity index was higher in the asthma group,,the difference was significant(P < 0.05).And one of the most significant differences was the hyperactivity index(P < 0.01).3.There was a significant difference between male and female children in the study of asthma group(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference between the male andfemale children in the 6 behavioral problems of control group(P > 0.05).4.In asthmatic children,there was a significant difference in distribution of temperament among children with behavioral problems than children without behavioural problems(X2=11.076,P < 0.05).The proportion of the common type was low,and the intermediate type is higher.In the control group,there was no significant difference in the distribution of temperament among children with behavior problems than children without behavior(P > 0.05).Conclusions: Children with asthma have their specific temperament types and behavior characteristics,we need to understand and pay attention to them,and take timely and effective interventions about psychology,family and society to coordinate the development of children's temperament and reduce the incidence of behavior problems,so as to improve the health level of children with asthma.
