Objective:To know the prevalence of preschool children behavioral problems and theirrelated factors, to establish an early intervention model for preschool children behavioralproblems, in order to provide evidences for appropriate early psychological cares. Methods: First, conducte literature review, focus group discussions to create indicatorsthose monitoring children behavioral problems. Then investigate children behavioralproblems with cluster random sampling method. Use logistic regression, factor analysis andstructural equation modeling to establishe a mathematic model on children behavioralproblems. Finally, adopt a randomized controlled trial to develop the on-site intervention andevaluation of intervention effects. Results: The detectable rate was9.7%, no statistically significant difference betweenboys and girls (P>0.05). The top three behavioral problems among boys respectively weresexual problem, aggressive behavior, melancholia, the top three behavioral problemsamong girls respectivelywere schizoid personality, somatic complaint, melancholia. The structural equation model analysis showed that educational method to children ofparents, physical condition of mother inpregnancy, Children’s temperament type were riskfactors of preschool childrenbehavioral problems. The children’s temperament not only influenced on children’s behavior problems directly, but also could take effect throughinfluencing family and social atmosphere, being scolded by parents indirectly.Following a six-months’ intervention process, group received family-kindergarteninteraction model, the children’s behavior were significantlyimproved after the program (P<0.05)and also were significantly better than the control group (P<0.05). Most preschoolteachers and parents thought the family-kindergarten interaction model was effective. Conclusion: The family-kindergarten interaction model based on temperament ispractical and effective to intervene children’s behavioral problems. Intervention models werebased onchildren’s behavioral problems theoryand controllable factors, inthis way theycould be effective.
