| Objectives: To investigate the effects and advantages of modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction for preventing and treating esophageal cancer in patients with esophageal cancer,and observe the effect of the safety and quality of life of patients.Methods:The clinical pathology diagnosed with esophageal cancer and the need for radical radiotherapy of 60 patients were randomly divided into modified Chaihu Xianxiong Decoction group and Western medicine control group compound,30 patients in each group.Chinese medicine treatment group from the first day of the radiotherapy to radiotherapy after 7 days,the daily were treated by modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction,prescription drug as follows: ChaiHu 12 g,JiangBanXia 12 g,HangLian 9g,HuangQin 12 g,QuanGuaLou 15 g,ZhiShi 12 g,HuangQI 15 g,TaiZiShen 30 g,XuanShen 15 g,ShengDi 15 g,DangGui 12 g,GanCao 15 g.Daily a agent,water decocted two times,total decoction 600 ml,daily scores of slowly after a all drugs,each time medication is best can last more than 10 minutes,the liquid to the largest extent and damage food mucosal surface contact,so that the liquid can directly effect on the damaged position.The control group after 7 days of the end of the first day of radiotherapy to radiotherapy after taking medicine daily composite treatment agent.Western medicine compound prescription:saline 150 ml,5 mg of dexamethasone,lidocaine 10 ml,gentamicin 12 million units,western medicine compound agent for standby.Each swallow 5ml,specific medication method with modified Chaihu Xianxiong Decoction group.Two groups of patients were additional 1000 cgy.Results:1.Comparison of the initial time of acute radiation esophagitis after radiation therapy in patients with acute radiation esophagitis: In this study,60 cases of esophageal cancer patients after radiation therapy began to appear 1 levels of radiation esophagitis,group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)time for about 19 days after radiotherapy is more common,patients in the western medicine compound agent group time about 12 days after radiotherapy,the two groups by t-test,t=0.499,modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group patients with grade 1 radiation esophagitis and Western medicine compound group exist significant difference(P< 0.05).Suggested that modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction can significantly delay the initial time of grade 1 radiation esophagitis in patients with esophageal cancer radiotherapy.2.Comparison of the duration of acute radiation esophagitis in patients after radiotherapy: The study of 60 patients with radiotherapy after gradually began to appear in grade 1 radiation esophagitis and to acute symptoms disappeared on the same day,the number of days,the traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of patients with duration of 11 days or so to see,western medicine compound agent group patients last 22 days to see more,two groups by t-test t t=2.083,modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group patients significantly shorten the patients with esophagitis after radiotherapy.3.Comparison of the probability of occurrence of radiation-induced esophagitis in patients: Through the observation found that patients in the two groups there were radioactive esophagitis,modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group and Western medicine compound agent of acute radiation esophagitis incidence was 100%,no comparative significance,suggesting that two groups of drugs do not exist to reduce the occurrence of radioactive esophagitis was.4.Comparison of RTOG grading in patients with esophagitis: Compared with radioactive esophageal mucositis the RTOG grading,it could be concluded that,in patients with cases of grade 2 or more radioactivity esophageal mucositis: Modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group 13 cases,western medicine compound group was 23 cases,between the two groups rate by chi square test to calculate the chi square value 7.028 difference was statistically significant(P <0.05),indicating that modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group occurred radioactive esophagitis severity compared with western medicine compound group light,modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group is better than that of Western medicine compound group can better reduce the RTOG grading of radioactive esophagitis.5.Results of grading comparison of esophageal endoscopy: Observation of two groups of patients with esophagitis esophageal endoscopy classification shows,two groups of patients with grade 2 or 2 above esophagitis occurred cases with modified Chaihu Xianxiong Decoction group was 9 cases,western medicine compound group was 23 cases,trend chi square test analysis results show that both the chi square value 10.00.Compared with the traditional significance(P<0.05),indicating that modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group of drug than western medicine compound agent group drugs can better reduce esophagitis esophageal endoscopic grading.6.The comparison of KPS score changes before and after treatment in two groups: Modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group: a total of 30 cases,KPS score improved with 7 cases,stable condition in 18 cases,decreased with 5 cases;western medicine compound group: a total of 30 cases,KPS score improved with 2 cases,the stability of a 13 cases,decreased with 15 cases.Trend chi square test analysis results show that both the chi square value for 8.584,difference has statistical significance(P<0.05),indicating that modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group than western medicine compound group can better improvement in patients with KPS score.7.Comparison of RTOG acute radiation injury in patients with bone marrow hematopoietic system after radiotherapy: By data analysis showed that the two groups of patients with bone marrow suppression is mainly manifested in the inhibition of WBC,modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group inhibition degree is in 9 cases,grade 2 with 3 cases,grade 3 0 patients;western medicine compound 1 group with 12 cases,2 grade in 6 cases,grade 3 have 4 cases,the chi square test was used to compare two sets of data,to calculate the chi square value 5.067,the difference has statistical significance(P<0.05),the description of modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group than western medicine compound group can significantly improved in patients with bone marrow suppression.8.The effect of lymphocyte subsets on immune status in patients with contrast: the chi square test to analysis the results showed that effects on cellular immunity in patients,modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction group was better than western medicine compound group,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05),bupleurum depression in Decoction group compared with western medicine compound group can better enhance the patient's immunity.9.Comparison of tumor marker detection index before and after treatment in two groups: Through the observation found that two groups of patients with tumor marker detection index changed little,showed no statistical significance.No comparative significance,suggesting that two groups of drugs are reducing radiation esophagitis in patients with tumor markers.10.Comparison of weight changes before and after radiotherapy in patients with radiotherapy: Two groups before and after radiotherapy in patients with weight change are different,two groups of data using chi square test,chi square value is 8.299 and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the bupleurum trapped chest soup is better than that of Western medicine compound group can better improve the patient's weight reduction..Conclusions:1.Modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction compared with western medicine compound group can significantly delay the initial time of grade 1 radiation esophagitis in patients with esophageal cancer radiotherapy.2.Modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction compared with western medicine compound group can significantly shorten the duration of radiotherapy in patients with esophageal cancer 1 levels of radiation esophagitis.3.There is no effect of reducing the incidence rate of radiation esophagitis in modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction and western medicine compound group.4.Modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction compared with western medicine compound group can better reduce the RTOG classification of radioactive esophagitis.5.Modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction compared with western medicine compound group can lower the grade of esophagitis in the lower esophagus.6.Modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction compared with western medicine compound group can better improve the patient's KPS score.7.Modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction compared with western medicine compound group can better improve the patient's bone marrow.8.Modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction compared with western medicine compound group can better enhance the patient's immunity.9.There is no effect of reducing the tumor markers in the patients with radioactive esophagitis by the combination of modified Chaihu Xianxiong decoction and western medicine compound group.10.Compared with western medicine,modified Chaihu Xianxiong
