ObjietiveTo compare the difference between two dimensionl dosimetrice and three dimensional conformal radiation technique for esophageal carcinoma.MethodsTwelve patients with thorax esophageal carcinoma were involved in this study. WIMRT radiation treatment planning system was used.Two treatment plans were designed,including conformal radiation technique planning and simulated conventional technique planning.The largest dose,the smallest dose and the average dose of GTv,conformal index,the largest dose of the spinal cord;v20 of the lungs were compared in the two plans.ResultsThere was no difference in the mean dose,the minimal dose and maximal dose(Gy) of GTV in the two plans(p>0.05). There was difference in the Values of CI(P<0.05).ConclusionEsophageal cancer conformal radiotherapy can reduce the radiation injury of the normal tissue and complications,and improve treatment of conformal radiotherapy and the target dose distribution.
