Objective:The purpose of this study was to investigate the current situation of diet self-management of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)in our hospital, and to analyze the influencing factors,so as to confirm the weight of diet therapy in the treatment of diabetes mellitus and provide theoretical basis and scientific guidance for clinical workers. It has certain social economy value and scientific research value. Methods:The T2 DM inpatients were selected from July 2016 to December 2014(n=300)in the department of Endocrinology and Metabolism in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. And then they were taken a face to face investigation(n=282).The study was carried out by diabetic diet questionnaires, which included basic situation of these patients, diabetic diet knowledge, diabetic diet education. The data was analyzed by SPSS20.0.Result:1.Overweight or obese(BMI ?24)of T2 DM patients accounted for 54.3%,20.6%of T2 DM reached the standard of HbA1 c <7% in this study.2.In the diabetic diet knowledge survey(a total of 13 questions),T2 DM with more than 9 correct answers of questions accounted for 2.13%,the number with less than or equal to 4 corrrect answers accounted for 65.25%.In the study of diabetic diet education,77.66% patients received diabetic diet education and 21.28% patients had good diet therapy compliance,58.15% patients had middle diet therapy compliance,20.57% patients had low diet therapy compliance.3.Multivariate analysis showed that T2 DM of older age, longer duration, lower HbA1 c,living in the city had better diet treatment compliance;compared with junior college degree or above, these who had illiteracy, primary school, middle school, high school education had poor diet treatment compliance.Conclusions:1.The T2 DM patients in this area had a low blood sugar compliance rate, more than half of patients were overweight or obesity.2.The diet self-management ability of T2 DM patients in this area was poor, the level of diet knowledge and diet therapy compliance was low, only 27.31% of patients had been adhering to the diabetes diet. Therefore,it is urgent to explore the more rational and effective diabetes diet education pattern to improve the diet self-management of T2 DM.3.Patients with the older, the longer course of disease, the higher level of education, living in the city, the better glycemic control had better diet treatment compliance.
