Objective: To investigate Effect of Adjuvant chemotherapy on Prognosis of stage IA2-IB1 Simply Low-differentiation Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Methods: A total of 76 patients of stage IA2-IB1 simply low-differentiation cervical squamous cell carcinoma in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from February 2003 to February 2014 were enrolled for the retrospective analysi. The patients were divided into the observation group(surgery + adjuvant chemotherapy,n = 42)and control group(simple operation,n = 34),we compared the Prognosis of the two groups and summarized the adverse reactions of chemotherapy in observation group. Results: The overall survival, recurrence free survival, distant metastasis free survival rate and local recurrence free survival rates of all patients were94.0%,94.7%,96.1%,98.7%,the total survival rate and recurrence free survival rate of the observation group were better than the control group(P < 0.05),and the rate of distant metastasis(0%)below the control group(8.8%),There was no significant difference of local recurrence free survival rate in the two groups(P > 0.05).Patients of the observation group completed all courses ofchemotherapy. In observation group, the main adverse reactions were gastrointestinal reaction 23.81%(10/42),myelosuppression19.04%(8/42),peripheral neuropathy14.29%(6/42),liver and renal dysfunction 4.76%(2/42),All of those are reversible. Conclusion: Adjuvant chemotherapy is a viable treatment for the patients of stage IA2-IB1 Simply Low-differentiation Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma, not only improve the overall survival rate, reduce the recurrence rate and distant metastasis rate, and also has obvious advantages in improving the quality of life of patients.
