The Clinical Research On Treating Vascular Dementia From Deficiency Yang Of Spleen,Liver And Kidney

Objective: We use Gui Zhi Ren Shen changing decoction to treat the vascular dementia patients with weakness of spleen Yang and deficiency Yang of liver and kidney.By comparing the curative difference between Gui Zhi Ren Shen changing decoction and western medicines,we can confirm the feasibility of strengthen spleen Yang and warming Yang of liver and kidney in treating vascular dementia,and providing basis for clinical treatment.Methods:60 vascular dementia patients were chosen suffered from weakness of spleen Yang and deficiency Yang of liver and kidney,randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Two groups have no obvious difference in general conditions.Patients of the treatment group were given Gui Zhi Ren Shen changing decoction,and the control group was treated with idebenone.Two groups share other common treating.The course of the treatment plan is 6 months.Patients of two groups were testified by MMSE,CDR,HIS,ADL respectively before treatment,at the end of 3 months and at the end of 6 months,through which we observed and compared.Results: Because 5 patients were with poor drug compliance,the enrolled cases were the treatment group(n=28)and the control group(n=27).After the course of the treating plan,the treatment group was superior to the control group in the degree of intelligence,ischemia,dementia,life qualities.Conclusions: Gui Zhi Ren Shen changing decoction is effective to the vascular dementia patients with weakness of spleen Yang and deficiency Yang of liver and kidney,and could improve the patients' cognitive ability,control clinical symptoms,relieve disease development and make an improvement of daily life.
