Objective:To investigate the difference between caritational ultrasonic surgical aspirator(CUSA)with electrocautery and electrocautery alone in breast cancer skin flap dissection. To compare operative time, bleeding volume, skin flap scald and postoper-ative complications in the two operation methods. To find the better one in breast cancer skin flap dissection.Methods:40 patients involved in the study were randomly divided into experiment group and control group. The experiment group uses CUSA and electrocautery, and the control group uses electrocautery alone.Resident doctors finish operation with the guidance of archiater in the whole course.Results:1?The bleeding volume is 57.2±6.8 ml in experiment group, and 78.5±8.3 ml in control group.T test shows P value is less than 0.01.It shows significant statistical difference in the two methods.2?The operative time is 46.7±4.7 min in experiment group, and 45.9±5.4 min in control group.T test shows P value is greater than 0.05.It has no significant statistical difference in the two groups.3 ? Three patients suffered skin flap scald, who got three skin flap scalds altogether, while no one got necrosis in the experiment group.Ten patients suffered skin flap scald, who got twenty skin flap scalds in all,and nine of them got necrosis in the control group.T test analyses the first result, which P value is less than 0.01.Chi square analyses the next two. Both of them has statistical difference in the two groups. Conclusion:There is no significant difference in operation time of them. But the experiment group shows less bleeding volume, skin flap scald and postoperative complications than the control group. It means that CUSA can benefit patients more thanelectrocautery and replace electrocautery.
