Needle Combined With Electroacupuncture For The Treatment Of Depression After Stroke

Objective: To use needle Combined with electroacupuncture for the Treatment of Depression after Stroke in order to observe its efficacy,and to provide a more better treatment plan of Depression after Stroke.Methods:60 cases of PSD were randomly divided into the acupuncture group 1 with 20,the acupuncture group 2 with 20 and the drug group with 20.acupuncture group 1 and acupuncture group 2 were given needle for different acupoints combined with electroacupuncture,The treatment in each group was done once a day for 7d as a treatment course.the drug group was given fluoxetine oral treatment.The patients take 20 mg daily in the morning for two weeks.they were treated for 2 courses and there was one day interval between two courses.before and after treatments,we compare of their Hamilton depression score and the traditional Chinese medicice(TCM)symptom.Results:before and after treatment in the three groups,HAMD scale score and clinical neurological deficit saore had a significant difference(P<0.05).comparing with three groups,they had a significant difference(P<0.05).Comparison of groups: the acupuncture group 1 versus the acupuncture group 2 shows the statistics significance(P<0.5);the acupuncture group 1 versus the drug group shows the statistics significance(P<0.5);there is no significant difference between the acupuncture group2 and the drug group(P>0.5).Conclusion: acupuncture group 1 and acupuncture group 2 in the treatment of post stroke depression has the similar efficacy with the drug group.The acupuncture group 1 is better than both acupuncture group2 and drug group in treatment of the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom.
