Objective:In this study, patients with post stroke depression(PSD)were taken as the subjects.By observing the effects of electroacupuncture of pericardial meridians and Sertraline hydrochloride on depression symptoms, neural function, ability of daily living, blood ACTH and Cort of PSD patients, the aim was to provide more sufficient clinical research basis for the treatment of PSD by acupuncture of pericardial meridians.Methods:60 patients with PSD were randomly divided into an experimental group(electroacupuncture at pericardial meridians group)and a control group(sertraline hydrochloride group),with 30 patients in each group.During the study, both groups received basic treatment for stroke, while the experimental group received electroacupuncture at pericardial meridians once a day and six times a week; The control group was treated with sertraline hydrochloride once a day,one tablet(50mg)each time; Both groups were treated continuously for 8 weeks, with 4 weeks as a course of treatment.Record the scores of HAMD scale,SDS scale,FIM scale, and MESSS scale before treatment, after 4 weeks of treatment, and after 8 weeks of treatment,as well as the content of ACTH and Cort in blood before and after 8 weeks of treatment,as well as the occurrence of acupuncture and adverse drug reactions. The above data were statistically analyzed using SPSS26.0 software.Results:1.There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of general conditions, scores on various scales, and blood test index content before treatment(P﹥0.05),which was comparable.2.HAMD score and SDS score:(1)Intragroup comparison: compared with pre treatment: After 4and 8 weeks of treatment, the HAMD score and SDS score of both groups decreased(P﹤0.05);Compared with 4 weeks after treatment, the HAMD score and SDS score in both groups decreased after 8 weeks of treatment(P﹤0.05).(2)Inter group comparison: After 4 weeks of treatment, the differences in HAMD scores and SDS scores between the two groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment, the differences in HAMD scores and SDS scores between the two groups were not statistically significant(P﹥0.05).3.FIM score and MESSS score:(1)Intragroup comparison: compared with pre treatment: After 4and 8 weeks of treatment, the FIM score and MESSS in both groups increased(P ﹤ 0.05);Compared with 4 weeks after treatment, the FIM score and MESSS in both groups increased after 8 weeks of treatment(P ﹤ 0.05).(2)Inter group comparison: After 4 and 8 weeks of treatment, the differences in FIM scores and MESSS scores between the two groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).4.Blood ACTH and Cort contents:(1)Intragroup comparison: After 8 weeks of treatment, the ACTH and Cort contents in both groups decreased compared to before treatment(P﹤0.05);(2)Inter group comparison: After 8 weeks of treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the content of ACTH and Cort between the two groups(P﹥0.05).5.Comparison of antidepressant efficacy between the two groups: The efficacy of the experimental group and the control group was comparable(P﹥0.05).Conclusion:1.Electroacupuncture at the pericardial meridian points can not only alleviate depression symptoms in PSD patients, but also promote the recovery of neurological function and improve patients’ daily living abilities.2.Electroacupuncture at the pericardial meridian points can reduce the blood ACTH and Cort levels in PSD patients.
