Influence Of Electroacupuncture Using Dredging Governer Vessell And Regulating Mind On Depression Symptom And Quality Of Life In Patients With Post-stroke Depression

As one of the most commencomplications of cerebrovascular disease (CVD),post stroke depression(PSD)refers to a depressive condition,with such symptoms as poor mood,self-inferiority and self-accusation,decrease of interest and so on.By delaying the recovery of neurological and cognitive function,PSD has a great effect on clinical symptoms of post stroke,directly affecting the quality of life and the functionnal recovery of PSD patients. So we should take greater value of the study on treating this kind of disease. Recently,it is reported that anti-depressive medicine may lead to allergy and abstinence syndrome,while therapeutic methods of Chinese Medicine which has little side effct become more and more important in clinical study.So enhancement of the research on PSD becomes important and realistic significance in finding a new therapeutic method,which is secure,easy-operated and curative.Objective:To investigate the depression symptom and QOL change on the patients with post-stroke depression after electroacupuncture with dredging governer vessels and regulating mind theropeutic method.Methods:60 PSD patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.In treatment group,electroacupuncture with dredging governer vessels and regulating mind theropeutic method was applicable to the 30 patients,using sparse wave with frequency 5Hz for 30 minites.In control group,30 patients received baisic treatment with basic acupuncture and points.Baihui shenting and Shenben are selected as the main points,with modification according to syndrome differentiation.For example,we choose taichong and neiguan to treat patients of liver-qi stagnant type,and select gongsun and neiguan to treat patients of defitiency of heart and spleen type. anti-depression treatment was give in control group.All patients got basic treatment including anti-hypertension,anti-diabetics and so on.Patiens were evaluated by HAMD,WHO-QOL and TCM Rating Scale before treatment,3 and 6 weeks after treatment.Results:In treatment group,significant change accure after 6 weeks, according to before treatment,in HAMD,TCM Rating Scale,and G1,G4,physiology,psychology,environment sides of WHO-QOL After 6 treatment (P＜0.05).there is significant difference between 2 groups in HAMD,TCM Rating Scale,and psychology side of WHO-QOL(P＜0.05).There are more positive effects on PSD patients in treatment group,according to control group,either evaluated by HAMD or TCM Rating Scale(P＜0.05),which is simlar with each other(P＞0.05).Conclutions:Electroacupuncture with dredging governer vessels and regulating mind theropeutic method has positive effects on post-stroke depression,and can greatly improve the quality of life by changing psychological condition.In one word,curative effect in treatment group is greater than that in control group.
